    I was gonna write about this as well. What a monster performance! 😱 And yes, Fenerbahçe and Arkas reached to the finals. It is very surprising to see Fenerbahçe in the finals after such a bad performance during the regular season. Arrival of Hidalgo made a huge difference for them. Also Emre Batur is finally back to his pre-injury shape.


    Arkas reached to semis with great performance of Adis lagumzija. I can imagine that he was extra motivated to play well against his old club Galatasaray. I wonder how he will work with Nedim ozbey, coach of both Galatasaray and my, after such a bitter breakup with Adis

    Also how much I wish the womens league had a team from Izmir like Arkas <3 people from Izmir are always on another level compared to the rest and it seems the same with being amazing spectators.

    Arkas has its women's team in Voleybol 1.Ligi. You have to hope for them to be promoted to Sultanlar Ligi. :)

    Mustafa Koç and Mert Matiç is the best MB duo of Turkey imo sorry Emre Batur and everyone else that'll probably take their spot in NT. So sad for Matiç' injury, hope it is not something too serious.


    Adis was good as well, he is young too and might become best local Opp, though for now that is still Metin Toy imho. Arkas didn't have out of system player like Hidalgo but their foreigners really were fun to watch and I felt the team chemistry. Yiğit has got that Turkish series boy next door face, maybe he'd be a better actor as well :gone: he was the weak link in Arkas.


    Polen and her husband have the same job in FB btw :lol:

    I wish Yigit was still playing as a setter. He was pretty amazing when he was a teenager and already used to be starter for Arkas on that position.


    Arkas has really nice uniforms IMHO.

    There is still Izmir B. Şehir From 1. Lig! They were 7th in regular round this season, not too bad. We can root for them meanwhile 8o

He is indeed generally very calm guy but this physical objection was ugly and he deserved the red card to be kick out for the rest of the match. I expect him to be banned even for the next match.

    Arkas beat Fener 3-0 and tied the series 2-2. Now, I hope the next match will finish in 5 sets. I wanted Fenerbahce to be champion, they were truly the underdog but I read somewhere Arkas might close their club due to financial issues. Is that correct? If so and if it would help for them to continue, I hope they win the league.

    What a season for them and what a match today. They were aggressive since the first point, serving well and putting Arkas in great difficulty.

    Hidalgo did what he wanted against the block with those crazy fast sets.

    After the heavy loss in game 4, it looled like their magic was lost. But today they dominated, well deserved victory coming from the fifth place in regular season.

    As much as I don’t like Hidalgo because he is selfish, I must admit that he was the main reason they won both Turkish Cup and now Turkish League. Arkas played very good in 3rd and 4rd match but today it was clear they had no experience.
