2018 FIVB Men's Club World Championship (11/26 to 12/2)

  • And we are in for a tiebreak! Fakel wins Set 4. As a sidenote, Iakovlev, MB is a good prospect for Russian NT.

  • I absolutely agree! It is still related to sports but not at all to a World Club Championship anymore. The absence of continental representatives makes it everything else but a World Club Championship. And, of course, the random choice of a second Polish, Italian, and Russian teams. To be read, why Fakel, Resovia, and even Trentino and/or Lube? Money, of course, but never mind.

    Both the Men's and Women's Club World Championship are just businesses for FIVB. It's not bad that high level clubs buy the wildcards.

  • Resovia won. Rossard on serve and Marcin helming the block did it for the club. Now Zenit Kazan also in trouble for the sweet upset.

    It's better this way to ensure quality. I don't think Argentine clubs are going to invest on another ride after the disappointing finish of Personal Bolivar from last year.

  • Agree... compared to the beginning of the season they are better. I agree he connection is a bit off - but its quite hard to have that connection with Bruno - he struggles to have that connection with his own national team players - I think he was kind of spoiled by playing with Ngapeth who can create points from nowhere. That's generally how he sets everyone now. Christensen can also be as inconsistent though... What the team really need is a good libero who can cover more area you are right. When Bruno has a consistent ball he is more effective.

    Christensen is definitely inconsistent, especially at crucial moments. Hope the connection between Bruno and the attackers will work better.

    A good libero can help them a lot. Their reception is the first issue. It's shaky. However, in this season, we can only expect Balaso to improve.

  • Kazan's serve mistakes in the 5th set will surely haunt them if Fakel wins cost them the match.

    Important match between Kazan and Lube tomorrow. If Lube wins, they have big chances to advance.. if Kazan lose against Lube, they are in a bad spot and will need to depend on the result of the other matches.

  • Will Lube ever send a serve to the other side without making a mistake? They're risking too much and Zenit is just thanking..

    Cester listened to me :rolll::rolll:

  • Was not able to watch the start of the match, but did Samoylenko play?

  • Zenit Kazan is lucky with all their match ups in the block and Lube missing the serve. :white:

  • Bruno's right side setting is becoming inconsistent both for Sokolov and Juantorena.
