Poland is getting predictable. Every ball goes to Smarzek and USA did a very good job blocking and soft-touching the ball.

Japan might take the final 6 spot suddenly from Poland btw, Belgium is knocking on the door as well
-
Poland need good OHs, they have decent MBs, Opp and setter, they just don't have good OHs, and OHs are basically most important roles in every team, this hurts them badly.

Japan vs Poland next week will be crucial, Belgiums draw is too much

Me in my head "expectations"
Reality:

It seems like Brazil, Turkey, Italy, USA will all be on the final again. Including China.
-
Unfortunate for the POL team to lose the set 2 by two-point margin, it changed the entire course of the match, and after that the USA team was on rise and the POL team was sinking. The 11 pts at set 4 equalizes the KOR record achieved in this VNL.
That's a price the POL team have to bear in training Stysiak to fill in the left wing to break through into the OG qualification. Must swallow the bitter pill at present.
If POL can beat both JPN and DOM they still have chance to play in Nanjing!

Replay for Brazil VS Thailand. Seems like Brazil redeemed themselves after the embarrassing lost last year.

Definitely! It's obvious. But still less one name that's the riddle

Italy wasn't in the final last year.

What do you guys think about VNL especially this year's considering the fact that Tokyo 2020 is approaching. For me at one point, I can understand why some coaches bring hte newbies to the tournament for international experience since this tournament is basically international friendlies with cash prize. Plus, having the newbies playing this huge tournament might give the coaches ideas of the players they can take for the OG qualifying round and eventually to Tokyo.
On the other hand there are coaches who insisted to have most of their A players to make sure they have as much playing time as possible. cough *Coach Ze* cough. it is understandable to have the A players to develop their connections between each other as much as possible.
either way this tournament have been interesting so far with great surprises and shocks.

yea it was Serbia

I do believe that POL will lose three in a streak. The TUR will be too much for them to digest at present.

Who do you think it will be?
Italy wasn't in the final last year.
Oh yeah, my bad. It was Netherlands and Serbia.

Most likely to be decided by own hands at POL vs JPN, the winner may play in Nanjing.
However, if DOM can beat both POL and JPN then it can be DOM that play there ha ha ha.... still much a three-horse race

It seems like Ishii got stuffed down a lot this tournament.
