  • Zhu Ting's latest weibo update, shall try my best to translate:

Proud to defend our World Cup title with 11 consecutive wins and present this as the 70th birthday gift to our country, China (it's China's Independence Day on 1 Oct). Coach Lang Ping reminded us before today's match not to forget our beginnings and to complete the task we've started. Victory belongs to those who work hard! We are always on the journey (to the peak). [Today] we step down from the podium, tomorrow we will continue working hard! (Taken from the team's slogan)

    ---

As usual, humble Zhu Ting. No mention of MVP at all.

  • I think Yuan Xingyue should be one of best MBs in this WC. Yan Ni has better blocking than Yuan, but Yuan's attacking is better.

  • I think it's because "best blocker." If there is Spiker award, maybe she can get one coz her efficiency is high.

    Just my. 02

Yan has the best blocking skills for sure, she isn't called the "Great Wall" for funsies but I think Yuan did better than her in both attack and blocking in this tournament... But i'm not complaining, Yan deserves every award she gets because she is amazing
