I observe the same thing in some other forums as well. Looks to me like women do not watch/like men's volleyball that much. A lot of female members comment mostly on women's volleyball.
Even Lebedew did this in VNL, Ropret was mostly subbed in at the end of sets (I have a hard time recollecting whether there were games Ropret started). I don't understand the insistence when it's clear that Ropret should start instead.
Then he was fired right after the VNL
Having Ropret in the team but putting him on the bench just because the other setter is taller (but with way worse skills) in WCH is like benching Maja for Elif in an important match of Ecz.

It's not that complicated. Male volleyball is simply less popular than a female one globally, and this forum (and practically all of the ones I know) reflect that.

For me male and female volleyball are 2 different sports.
For example, only watching serbian nt matches don't make me fan of male volleyball.

It's quite funny to remind myself that a year ago people were saying that Leal shouldn't be a starter in favor of Douglas, and now he single-handedly leads his team to WCH semifinal.
Vicentin is so fucking bad. Can't score, misses 70% of his serves. I have no idea how he keeps seeing playing time.
