    Anytime you get a tall setter is generally a good thing (especially if the next available setter is just 5'5). The question really is how well are they going to be able to adapt to the system.

    I think somebody explained this to me before but why isn't Thailand NT, in the guise of some club team, taking part in the Club World Championships? I'm sure I've missed something

    in women's VB, i think the tallest setters i've heard of are rondon (187 cm?, ITA NT setter), also i think DOM, GER and NED has had such tall setters (close to 189?). i'm sure lang ping will find one soon.


    in men's game, it's insane, there's been setters that are 203 cm tall (6'8). AUS has a setter that is 205 cm (dosanjh).

    - Supreme made an offer to Thompson. We all know she’s going to Fenerbahçe this season so it’s obvious she declined the offer. However, the fact that they have that kind of money and willing to hire this level of players is a good sign for VTL (I think).

    - Dear (the girl with 19x cm) is on the list of players this year. So we can see how she’s now if you’re interested :)

    if it's the teen i'm thinking of, supposedly she is currently 202 cm. Anyway, I hope they use her as either MB or OP instead of an OH. She still has a LOT to improve on, but at least she will be getting a taste of higher level competition and if she shows potential, who knows what the future might hold for her....gold luck girl.     on a different note, from the recent SEA games, Thatdao is back to doing her slides again, YAY! this will give her a more diverse attacking option other than just in front of the setter. And another thing I notice about when she attacks a quick in front of the setter, if she gets a ball a bit further from the net, she doesn't get blocked as often, but if it's rather close to the net, she gets blocked more easily and doesn't get a good swing either.....

    Yes. Thatdao’s back doing her thing. She used to do the slides a lot before the injury. It’s a good sign :)
