Display MoreI just read Polina's interview, honestly I fully dont trust her honesty because you did know Casalmaggiore is village, or she realized it afterwards. Her interview like that.
Why in the middle of the season decided to change the club, moving from Italy to Turkey?
- Frankly, I imagined volleyball in Italy somewhat different. Let's just say he didn’t live up to my expectations. Despite the fact that the club did everything possible for me, it turned out to be difficult for me to live in the small town of Casalmaggiore, which looks more like a village.
I remember when I opened the window in my apartment to air the room, I smelled of manure from the street. All this mentally brought me back to childhood, when I was grazing cows, was engaged in a garden, then there was a completely different life ... There was a feeling that everything I had achieved now simply does not exist. Perhaps this is one of the reasons why I so much wanted to leave.
I even started thinking about retirement - because who would want to invite me in the middle of the season? But it so happened that in one of the teams in Turkey a player was injured and they began to seek outside help. For me it was a chance to change the situation, and I took advantage of it. Probably, some forces from above showed that you should not stop, you need to go further. I will not say that the offer from Turkic Airlines bribed me more than the conditions in the Italian club. I just understood that it would be easier for me in Turkey, since I have many friends there.
The truth is that Polina has had problems in almost every team she played. The problem is her temperament.
