2019 / 2020 Transfer Rumors & Discussion (Female)

  • Vargas is not a good receiver but she helped the passing line. Thompson can do it as well, actually she is much better passer than Vargas.

Terzic wants his opposite to cover a little area for 2 rotations. Vargas and Thompson both are able to do it.

  • I can't believe it that after so many years playing as OH that you couldn't learn how to recive so now any OPP needs to cover you... :what:

    Come on Brankica

To me that is also strange sometimes, but she contribut so much on other sequence of game(attack, block, serve and great personality with a lot of positive vibes)and when she is on her recongized level of play that fact that she is completly disaster on reception falls down.

She needs a lot of adjustments and that is bad thing about her. She need to play like Non receiver OH because her attack is beter from 4 than zone 2 attack and all pd this things just a few teams can afford this luxuries.

That's because she is not really an OH. She is a non-receiving Opp who just happens to play on OH position whenever there is a deadlier finisher already on the team at Opp. It used to be that Brankica played her club seasons as opposite, and her NT season as OH, but somewhere along the way the clubs have adopted the Serbian two-man reception system without...well, actually implementing a (functional) two-man reception system.

What Fener should have as soon as Melisa got injured is either transfer Brankica to Opp and get a stable receiving OH, or waive away Brankica' s contract (if they could legally do that), and get someone like Thompson AND a stable receiving OH. What they are doing now looks like trying to sit on two chairs at once, without being stable on either.

  • The big 3 from Turkey is a mess this season. :rolll::rolll::rolll:

Vakifbank can't find a dominant OH and their local ones are useless. Fenerbahce with their receiving system (which makes me wonder is there any receiving Opp that can terminate the balls also available on market?) and Eczacibasi.... well, no need to explain that one.

Ebrar is the best player in Vakifbank right now and VB are playing really well, what are you talking about.

FB was playing quite well too, Vargas just got injured.

Ebrar the best? There is no objective way that statement can be sustained. She is not the best scorer, she doesn't have the best % of attack nor the best % of reception. In either the domestic league or Champions league. One cant even say that she is the best against the most difficult opponents, because she wasn't the best scorer in any of the matches against the elite teams in either of the 2 leagues.

And relatively speaking, Fenerbahce is not playing good, especially in comparison to the expectations prior to the start of the season, when they were widely (almost universally) seen as the strongest Turkish club this year. Losing against Vitra twice, having to play another 2 5-setters against decidedly weaker teams in the domestic league...

    Sis I always have receipts

  • Even if u have someone like Kelsey as one of the passers, opponents would target anyone else weaker than her in their two-man passing system. This gets highlighted even more since their libero is so poor in passing. Maybe try a one-man passing formation with Kelsey getting all the balls? Lol. Or replace Branki at the back with a defensive specialist.

I havent watched some FB matches. Is their current libero really that weak in reception compared to Merve?

  • All of what I said still applies, so there is no way one can say she is the best Vakif player of the season, regardless of that one (very strange) parameter. Or would you honestly claim KYK has been the best Vitra player of this season?:P

Edit: Wait a minute, that list includes only OHs? How can you then claim she is the best Vakif player as opposed to best OH Vakif player?

  • 'played'

    Referring to: played matches

Here is the english version of the site btw, much better: http://tvf-web.dataproject.com…cs.aspx?ID=42&PID=85&mn=2

Beri, Ebrar started this season pretty weak, one of the reason they struggled so much, only started to play better during WCC and has been playing good since. We cannot say she is their best player. Don’t care what stats say as we all have seen.
