I mean no one expected him to convert Airi as MB, and unlike the “MB1 tactic” in 13/14, Nagaoka played as a “faked” MB that she actually still attacked from both wings. Airi now plays like an actual MB as her attacks are from the middle of the net, no matter she’s hitting in front or behind the setter, just the tempo isn’t really like a quick attack that most MBs do.

Besides all the Winzer memes, they have indeed arrived at being a very competitive team on highest level. Their bench is not exactly deep and they could use a better libero, but other than that their starting six is really solid overall with King, Gray and Van Ryk standing out

I've been thinking about mentioning her and today she was really good, but in some other matches she didn't have that much impact so I didn't want to put her on the same level as the ones I mentioned. But then, I also don't want to put her on the same level as Cross and Howe, so she kinda has her own level

Thailand is really on the edge now for the second round. Canada jumped in front of them, and their points number is below everyone except Germany and the teams behind them Poland and Dominican Republic have one more match to play, if they get any wins, they'll jump in front of Thailand.
Basically if you get to 7 wins you are in right now for the quarterfinals.
