    A few observations on points-per-set:


    On their respective positions Brie King and Yuan have big lead on all others (it should go without saying that the same is the case with Herbotts). On opp, Egonu is first and Stysiak is relatively close 2nd but then there's a big gap. Of all 8 quarterfinalists, the biggest difference between 1st and 2nd best scorer is Italy while the smallest difference is by far USA. The following is the number of players from quarterfinal teams with at least 2 pts/set:


    Brazil 5

    China 5 (all others have less than 1)

    Italy 3

    Japan 4

    Poland 3

    Serbia 5

    Turkey 5 (same as China)

    USA 5 (same)

    I hope Zehra doesn't play tomorrow honestly... If she is injured, she shouldn't play, let Aycin play... no second thoughts about it. Same for Ebrar. Sadly I think both are going to play tomorrow and feel responsible, I just hope they will be ok and it's just them skipping to be safe... We know nothing good comes out of players being ''forced'' to play with injuries :wacko:

    True, but Guidetti may feel pressure to play them, because if they lose and he rests them. everyone who doesn't follow volleyball closely (ie. twitter casuals ie most of the country) will blame him and that decision for the loss. It definitely wouldn't be the first time for him to throw his players under the bus (in this case, letting the injured Zehra and Ebrar take the blame for the loss in the minds of twitter casuals) to save his own reputation.

    At that point I hope the STANS will be activated :rolll: never mess with the stans! Zehra has 2m followers on IG and Ebrar I think around 1M or so. That's an army you don't want to deal with but I hope they spam Gio's socials in case of a loss where the players look unfit :whistling::saint:

    If we play tomorrow's match with Meryem, we will definitely lose.I fell like she haven't finished a game with over 30% attacking ratio throughout the summer. Her performance was the same in the club season. Now Ebrar's worst version is better than Meryem.


    As for Zehra, if her injury is serious, she won't play anyway. He's also her club coach, he wouldn't want to risk her. I'm sure if he didn't allow Zehra to play, he would be accused of prioritizing Vakıfbank.


    Also, in any defeat, most of the people in Turkiye put all the blame on Giovanni no matter what. There are very few people who don't think so after a lose. He's always the one who gets the most criticism. He doesn't have a fan base like any Nt players.

    Bet if their injuries are serious enough, Guidetti would not force them to play. If they play, they will not play the whole match. Lucky their coach is not Cai Bin or are in 🇨🇳NT😄.
