Akinradewo apparently is not with Hisamitsu Springs.

It was ONJ that mentioned about that little change this year. Maybe he/she(sorry, forgive me, I'm not sure if you're a male or female user) will see and chime in later. But yeah, i'm just as surprised as you are. Usually Thailand sends their current year league winner to represent them at the AVC club Championship and not the past season's winner. So it would have been Nakhon Ratchasima if it was still the same way and not Supreme going to the AVC Women's club championship this year.

It should be that the Iranian club withdrew the tournament.
The news floating in Thailand (a couple months ago) said that FIVB disqualified Supreme’s champion last year because the 2018 Asian Championship matches were held during NT season, not league season.
Therefore, Supreme has to compete again this year for the 2019 world championship spot (even though they already got the spot from the 2018 championship).
As Supreme is Thailand’s representative, Nakorn Ratchasima, the actual winner of Thailand Volleyball League can’t compete this year. I’m not sure about next year competition as FIVB always changes the rule as they want anyway 
This is unfair for Nakorn Ratchasima but the news said all the teams in Thailand League were already informed about this since the beginning of the league so.....idk.

I'm not reliable in terms of Time Zone Conversions but I think Hisamitsu v Sri Lanka is underway-- 9:00am Saturday, Tianjin, China = 6:00pm Friday night West Coast USA --to kick things off.

Supreme vs North Korea and NK is the winner, congratulations! NK has always been a good and competitive team, mean while supreme was a mess and they caused their own doom. So many errors, I think they could have ended the game at 3-0 or 3-1, but alas lol better luck next time girls.

Lucky you. Thai matches get a little broadcast love. I watched some of the 1st and 2nd sets. Thai looked a little tired, or maybe not tired but not revved up yet. I don't know anything about N. Korea but they looked competitive.
I wish I could see the Hisamitsu matches. Kato, Inoue, and Nakagawa swinging. I want to see how they do. I wish the V.League would make Hisamitsu trade them so I could see them play instead of making them stay stashed on the bench .

Only selected matches will be broadcasted and no standard on selection. But it's AVC's competition, what you want to expect?
All Thailand’s matches will be broadcasted on SMMTV and Thairath TV. I have no information about the other matches.
Speaking of N.Korea, Hisamitsu smashed them in set 1 and then things got interesting. I mean, I didn't see it or anything but :

[EDIT] Found a Readers Digest version of this on the youtube. PRK plays scrappy D, and they have a couple good swingers. It's nice to see the Hisamitsu kids playing as a team instead of just getting an occasional serve sub call. They look more grown up. Hisamitsu has already bumped them up in jersey numbers, too. Hikari Kato is promoted all the way to #5, Inoue #7, and Haruka Kanamori has Foluke's old #16 
I guess my hope for Foluke to gain Japanese citizenship and play for the NT ain't happening

This is a cakewalk for Thailand so far Set 1. Aprilla Manganang playing for Thailand. Did she play with Supreme club season? She's making some smart hits, not just power. Wilivan, too.
Hisamitsu libero Tsutsui getting a lot of camera time and hasn't made a good play yet. You know what that means 
I'm liking MB Kanamori, but overall these Hisamitsu kids look nervous. Nakagawa especially, getting aced and looking like "please don't serve to me". All three swingers when they get blocked a couple times will hit the next one way out of bounds. So rookie.
