The franchise from Carolina had to move to Trujillo Alto because their home venue isn't ready to open after the Hurricane María; they may come back to Carolina next year. The franchise from Ponce had the same problem and it was not sure if the city was going to support them, so they moved to Toa Baja.

Changas de Naranjito easily won the regular season. Criollas de Caguas were the second ranked team (it is the first year they didn't win the regular season since 2014, when Leonas de Ponce took the first place from them).

Polluelas de Aibonito were the 7th ranked team and stayed out of the play-offs, despite Neira Ortiz was very good and Debora Seilhamer broke the record of 6000 diggs during the season, playing amazing as usual.

Amazonas de Trujillo Alto and Valencianas de Juncos got eliminated in QFs.

The team from Trujillo Alto had a very good season, considering they gave court time to many youngsters. Wilmarie Rivera and Alba Hernández had an excellent season.

The team from Juncos was a little bit unlucky, losing Yarimar Rosa before the season started and never a chance to play with her. They were too much dependant on Paulina Prieto.

Indias de Mayagüez and Llaneras de Toa Baja got eliminated in the semifinals.

The team from Toa Baja had an excellent season. Collazo had the season of her life. She was on fire all along. Téllez was as consistent as usual. Valentín improved drastically the team since she joined them. León surprisingly was the starting libero, while Benítez helped for the back row. They simply couldn't do any more than what they did to reach the finals: Changas de Naranjito were just too much.

The team from Mayagüez did a good job as well. Saraí Álvarez was a point machine, as usual. Many youngsters had court time. Amanda Vázquez played her last season of LVSF: she announced her retirement.

Changas de Naranjito took the first game of the final series. Criollas de Caguas won the second and the third one (winning in Naranjito) and now lead 2-1 the series. It seems like with Nogueras, Jusino and Victoriá Criollas have something more than Naranjito. The winners of the regular season are in big troubles since they lost Legna Legna Hernández for injury, despite the young Biver is very talented and plays with the fire in her eyes; they tend to be all about Rangel and mexican player can be controlled by the opponents with an organized block-defence system. Noami Santos is always up and down. Diana Reyes is on fire, just like Karina and Pilar Victoriá.

Criollas de Caguas won LVSF 2019!

Changas de Naranjito took a big win in the 4th game in Caguas, but the series moves to 2 neutral halls (Guaynabo and San Juan), where Criollas de Caguas showed all they bigger experience and won both the games 3-2.

Shara Venegas was the MVP of the Finals.

She announced her retirement in january, just few weeks before the start of the season. She was celebrated by the local media as the first hero of the 2016 olympic volleyball team who retired (not sure if Oquendo retired too, but she didn't play this season).

She worked as commentator for Wapa.tv during the last LVSF.

She isn't playing and probably retired.

Foreigners May come back in 2020.

After the Hurrikane they decided to put on court only locale players in order to have the league celebrated. Most of the teams (in all sports) get their money by the local cities. The funds have been cut for most of the teams (so many took a year of break), because the local cities can't afford sponsoring all the sports while they are paying to build again what was destroyed by Maria.

In 2018 the federation sponsored a short tournament called Copa Federacion, in order to have the players that stayed in the Island Active e ready for the NT Summer, but we all saw It didn't work out very well: both the NTs struggled more than ever.

In 2019 LVSF was back, but in a cheaper version, with only locale players allowed.
