Erfurt added Elena Kömmling (ex-Dresden youth academy, recently in 2nd league Grimma) to their roster, so I guess Pickrell might be out for a while, and with Reinisch having to play as L due to Petter's injury they had no substitute for OH/Opp position left.
Germany - VBL 1. Bundesliga 2019/20

Schedule for today:
23. Oktober 2019
18:30 Wiesbaden - Potsdam (Sport1)
19:00 Dresden - Aachen
19:00 Schwerin - Erfurt
19:30 Münster - Suhl
19:30 Straubing - Stuttgart
-
Straubing signs Paula Morgenroth (ex VCO Berlin) as libero to help out as long as Dreblow is injured.
-
Erfurt looks good here in Schwerin. Flory pöay good and Brisebois are great
-
Another injury for Straubing. Løvø Steinsvåg landed badly after a jump and injured herself in the foot or leg area and had to be helped off the field. Morgenroth will reportedly be available for two matches, I hope Dreblow will return then, otherwise their bench might be completely empty...
-
Aachen stunned DSC in Dresden in tie-break: no big surprise indeed, but Dresden was without Mareen Apitz-von-Römer not with the best starting six of course.
Stuttgart won as required in three sets in Straubing to take the lead of the league, because Wiesbaden resisted a lot against Potsdam and enforced tie-break, so Potsdam could only win two points. Schwerin with another lost set against Erfurt, playing just one good match in supercup so far, not fully convincing in the league...

Well, compared to Stuttgart who mostly used their starters (except for Koskelo who was replaced by Cesar), Koslowski took the more risky approach and rested Adams, so it's not surprising that Schwerin struggeled a bit more today. They really need her.

Very nice that there was Audio commentary in the Schwerin-Erfurt game stream on sporttotal today btw, really improves the experience. I hope this will be the case more often.

Wong-Orantes played beside Oude Luttikhuis and Szakmáry!
How much court did she cover?
-
Was it really an MVP worthy performance by JWO or was it only because it was her very first game? I'm happy for her either way. She needs the boost and we need her to be good and ready.

Who is the opposite for Dresden? She can't impress me, why is Korhonen not playing?

Vilsbiburg - Schwerin

Actually the article says that probably she'll be out until the end of the year ("out" meaning she can do only limited training and can't play) and it's uncertain how quick she'll recover. Stuttgart invited Italian setter Sofia Turlà to tryout training as possible replacement until January.
Turla will not be signed, Stuttgart will keep looking for a setter.
