i will pray harder then. ha ha
i had enough Okayama vs Denso but Jack will be there next match
werq @ Saitama for sweeping their bracket.
So at the end of the tournament, 1 Star and 1 Premier team will remain.

Credit to Saitama for not giving a fuck about being 4th. They practically overpassed the #2 and #3 of Star.
Pressure is on JT and Denso to live up to being their conference's champion.
Hisamitsu Springs announce that former Brazilian WNT, Fabiana Claudio will pay for them this season. Replacing Foluke with her, put the Springs in the driver’s seat to win the title this year.

Display MoreFinal 8 starts in a few hours with Denso vs. Saitama & Torray vs. NEC
Haven’t had the chance to watch even a quarter of the matches this season but I’ll make halfass predictions for the final ranking:
1. JT Maaaaavelousss: Denso is a formidable team but I believe with Drews’ magic, JT will snatch the crown this year. They have all it takes to come out on top: incredible libero, reliable blockers, and ... well... Andrea Drews. It would be a boring win, admittedly. They don’t excite me the way Himeji or Hitachi do
2. Denso Hard-working Bees: well well well Denso indeed has put up an impressive performance throughout the season, and they still have plenty more to offer. I know it probably won’t happen but I want to see 4T and the Denso bomber but a girl can dream :> This is just the beginning for a long period of the rise of Denso in the league!
3. Okayama No-Smiler Seagulls: I believe this team will accomplish great things, just not this season (and I pray they’ll prove me wrong!). They are solid proof that hardwork, discipline, and a diet consisting of not smiling can do wonders. Will there be an upset? Will they drop the ball? Will they ever smile? No, nah, and hell nah Get that bread my queens.
4. (da)Saitama Aego Medics: just like the prefecture they represent, Saitama really has nothing special (like for real, they are the MEDICS ). They lack the “wow” factor and the well-rounded-ness of top teams like JT and Denso. But you know what, I think in the end, they will create a kind of ruckus and come out on top of teams with a slightly better track record and more iconic players like Toray and Toyota.
5. Toyota QWEENsei: I really put a lot of hope on this team early on. Their performance, however, has been ...unpredictable...in a disappointing kinda way I still enjoy watching them play tho. They have some of my favorite league players - Takahashi, Uchiseto, and my good sister Araki.6. ‘Toray‘ ‘Arrows’: just like their uniform, Toray’s performance this season can always use some improvement. Last season’s runner-up has had their weird upsets, (possible) drama, and underperformance issues. I smell an upsetting 6th place. Hope they come back stronger, with more ups than downs, and a better uniform...well...cross out the last one because that will never happen
7. HisamitsWHO Sbrig: no, seriously, WHO is this team? where is the champion we all know and (secretly) hate? The superglue once held together a strong lineup has now dried up and fell apart. Maybe they’re protesting their corporate sponsorship. Maybe this is the end of the world. Maybe once you’re so high up the only way down is a trip to rock bottom. Whatever the reason is, they need HALP
8. NEC rad ruckitz: You’ve made it this far to see me put this team where they belong: the bottom. Well then you got what you wanted The day NEC’s serve reception improves will be the day Toray gets a better uniform.
Whoever you are, I do hope your mouth is of gold because this prediction has to happen. 8-5 are now correct. Now the rest needs to happen.

I am guessing that they did not use her enough and that she is a little older?

Your post popped into my head last night as I was dozing off after a crazy night of vball. You really nailed it!
Now we got Underdogs v the New York Yankees.
Just saw a video this morning of Megumi Kurihara. Here is something from the 2016-2017 board.
It seems that Megumi Kurihara is coming back to play well after so many injuries
Kurihara announced today that she had suffered from cerebral venous sinus thrombosis, which keeps blood from going throughout the brain. She could have actually died from it. It was caught and she had to do rehab to get back to playing shape, let alone walking.
what happened?
I got hung up on the Freudian Slip "Fabiana Claudio will pay for them this season" and thought you found news this morning Fabiana was going to pay Hisamitsu for ... uhm ...
I wrote last night that "Everything is as it should be". I love the way this thing turned out. The two best teams on paper and the two best teams on spirit. Gotta give JT some spirit points too, though. Such a change from last year when they would get behind and pout their way to a loss. This year they fought back. Lovely.
It's a heavy lift, but of course I'm rooting for the underdogs

But I love me my Annie more!

she just wasn’t getting it done, sadly.
Volleyball Magazine has this ranking. I'm wondering why they have Toyota above Toray and if this 1–12 ranking thing can even work with the Conference malfunction. Did they add in Final 8 results?
Edit: I missed it but the V.League site also lists it as such
Edit Edit: This must be based on Final 8 alone, I guess. It's weird that the RR is based on wins and the F8 is based on points, but whatever

Reasoning is that Toyota had 6 points to Toray's 5 points in the Final 8.
Hisamitsu finished in 7th because they had 1 win with 3 points, while NEC had 0 wins.
Of Hisamitsu's roster (17 locals):
Four players played in College before joining Hisamitsu
Thirteen players came right from High School - Seven of those were from Higashi Kyushu Ryukoku
Of Himeji's Roster (23 locals):
Eighteen players played in College before joining Himeji
Five came from High School to the V.League - One was from Higashi (but ALL of them came from HS to some other team and were basically retired before getting called to Himeji)
