Russian clubs are flopping too hard.
Maybe it's because they have no outstanding offensive OH besides Zenit Kazan's Bednorz.
I mean, Sivozhelez is so 2000 and late. With Ivan, you can have a receiving opposite but I guess it didn't dawn on the managers. Maybe this formation could work in Russian Superleague to propel their reception but may not be that effective against similarly built teams in Europe.
For Lokomotiv, Ivovic is just not working anymore. They need someone more effective on the attack while retaining the pass.
Dinamo got really unlucky when Sokolov got hurt. His sub, Romanas wasn't bad but his block could've been needed against Trento. The team only had 2 block kills.
Yeah, those clubs prefer to play with Sivozhelez, Markin, Karpukhov, Savin, Ivovic, among others, when there are other young OHs (Voronkov, Volkov, Bogdan, Semyshev) who are currently way better and could perfectly fit in their systems.
