South Korea - Women's V-League 2019-2020

  • I hope it's not major injury....

I notice that Hillstate is like "cursed" on foreigners since season 2017-18... They had problems with their foreigners, injured or under perform... I thought Maya stopped that "curse", then she got injured...

Coincidently that season was the first season Lee Do Hee took over as the main coach and Lee DY also took over as the main setter...

  • It seems that Hayley's injury is not that severe.

She can walk, though not perfectly, and she doesn't feel pain.

Tomorrow they'll going to hospital and check, and they think it won't be that big.

Also there's 1 month break because if OQ, so Hayley would be okay.

  • /watch?v=-FyTslVVM6I

Really surprise of the result.... I can count that as successful league-debut for Kim Da In as setter....

I attribute the blocking scheme of Hillstate for the win... Especially blocking Lutz so often that make her down and make spiking-errors...

It seem to me there are no other players in Kixx that are on the level that can cover Lutz in scoring, like Kang SH and Lee SY do....

Btw , is there any info about Lee SY injury? Is she gonna be in along break? She already missed all matches in round 3....

I hope the injury is not so bad that can make a player retire early.....

  • Lee SY seems quite okay either. There's an interview with her here, written today.

    https://m.sports.naver.com/news.nhn?oid=472&aid=0000018700

It says that though she is not training with balls right now, she got much better and doing some training irrelevant with her injury site. Though she has 4 weeks left to fully recover, all the things are going well and she thinks she can play the first matches in the 4th round, a match against hyundai.

Edited once, last by theloneracer: Correction to Team Standing, changed GS Caltex from 2nd to 3rd and Heungkuk from 3rd to 2nd. ().

  • Back to basic: Yang HJ topped the block per set list and with significance margin from the 2nd place...

Hillstate won all their matches in round 3, no wonder their player voted MVP... I thought it's gonna be Yang HJ, but Lee DY also deserved it...

Her sets made their attackers topped the Open Attack, Quick Attack, Quick Open Attack, and Time Difference Attack Success Rate with quite a difference from the 2nd place in each of their respective list....
