Tomorrow there will be a meeting to decide whether to adopt asian quarters or not.
However, many fans are strongly oppose to asian quarters because there are already foreign players playing, and if we add asian quarters, then there will be very limited chance for young players or potential players.
Korean league has only 6 teams which is very small compared to other league. Fans want to add more teams, the 7th team. Moreover, fans want league B (league for substitute players) before asian quarters.
So I think this would not be adopted and rather KOVO should try to enlarge the overall league size to give more chance to players and have a bigger market.

Of Hyundai's massive 26 errors in just 3 sets. 15 were from spiking errors, 10 were from serving errors, and 1 more from a blocking error. Heungkuk on the other hand, only committed just 10 errors. 4 were from spiking errors, another 4 were from serving errors and the last 2 were for setting errors.
Hyundai was just terrible. Yang Hyo-Jin struggled to score and only managed to 2 spike kills. Go Ye-Rim spiking efficiency was fairly low at just 9.52% despite having a spike success rate of 42.86%. Hayley is still struggling to score, noticeably in the beginning in Set 1. Back-up libero Lee Yeong-ju is still getting hammered by the opponent's serves. Heungkuk were obviously targeting her, with nearly 62% of their serves heading her way.

the thing is they lost not because the opponent is better, but because their own errors... If they made the same errors with Pink Spiders, they would've won.. The points difference only 4, while the errors difference was 16...
Well, huge homework for the coach.. minimize errors, and improving receptions....
Kixx won vs Hi-Pass 3-1... I guess the rank will change... Hi-Pass only task now is not become the last place in the end of the season....😐

Personally, I would like to see a 7th female team.
With 7 team maybe they could shorten the league regular season down to 4 rounds and 6 matches for each team for a total of 24 matches each team. Plus the playoffs will have the first 4 teams take part in it where 1st vs 4th & 2nd vs 3rd and the winners going to finals. But I can't see them reducing the regular season because of broadcasting revenue, tickets revenue, and potential decrease in sponsorship revenue due to the decrease number of matches.
I think Busan might be a good choice to set up a new female team but the only problem with this is the distance the teams would have travel to get to matches.

News Update:
Some of the relevant news relating to women's competition from today KOVO board meeting:
- The 2020-2021 V-League will play 6 rounds from October 17, 2020, to April 4, 2021. One important change to next season for the women will be the introduction of Friday nights whilst Monday and Thursday will be their rest day. Also, the current start time for the women's match remains unchanged with 19:00 KST start time on weekdays and 16:00 KST start time on weekends.
- The All-Star game will take place after the end of Round 4.
- 2020 KOVO Cup will be held in Jecheon from August 22 to September 5. I'm assuming this period is inclusive of the men's tournament too as last year KOVO Cup for the women took place over 8 days.
- The women's foreign players tryout will be held in Prague, Czech Republic over 4 days (previously only 3 days) from May 10-13, 2021. Also, the number of players to be invited will increase from 30 to 40.
- The introduction of the Asian Player/Quarter (maybe Quota?) and the women's team salary cap have still not been decided and left to the next board meeting.
Looks like interesting. May i know the reason why they are increasing the invitation of foreign players? In the first place they are only getting 1 foreign players so why invite lot of them?
2nd. Not sure what you mean on the last sentence. Are they inviting asian players? Like japan league where the team can get another foreign players from asia aside from foreign player that they can get from try out?

Unless they bottled it against the teams in the bottom half, GS Caltex KIXX (GS) should win the regular-season championship now that they have retaken the lead. GS trio of Merete Lutz, Kang So-Hwi and Lee So-Young are just too strong overall. GS rookie Kwon Min-Ji (#18) is doing well too and is another contender for the best rookie award. Despite Min-Ji being more of an OH, Cha Sang-Hyun (GS head coach) has been using her as a middle blocker like Jeong Ji-Yun (#13) from Hyundai E&C Hillstate (Hyundai).
Hyundai are too vulnerable in reception at the moment plus their two main attackers Yang Hyo-Jin and Hayley Spelman have been rather poor in the spiking department recently. At the beginning of the season, I was quite surprised they didn't recruit more youngsters from the draft to strengthen the outside hitter and libero position. Hyundai's squad consisting only of 15 players compared with the other teams who had 18 or 19 players. The back-up in those two positions is rather thin and any injury in either of those two positions would be disastrous as it is the case.
I can't see Heungkuk catching up to GS either. GS are currently leading Heungkuk by 9 points and all GS needs is one more 3 or 4 sets win to rule out any chance Heungkuk have of overtaking them.

Firstly, it says in some of the reports that the teams want to expand their options with the increase of invitees. Another advantage that I can think of is that the teams would have a larger pool of players to find a replacement from if the foreign player they drafted get injured later on.
Secondly, yes they are planning to introduce something similar to what the Japanese league did two seasons ago. But from what I can gather so far is that is it could potentially include other Asian countries or countries under the Asian Volleyball Confederation (e.g. Iran, Australia, Kazakhstan, Thailand) and not be limited to only players from ASEAN countries like the Japanese.
I apologised if I have confused you with the Player, Quarter and Quota thing. This is because the Korean articles kept using the word "아시아 쿼터" (romanised = Asia kwoteo) which Google translate it into "Asian Quarter", which doesn't make sense. Bing translate "쿼터" (kwoteo) part into "Quarter" or "Quota". Personally I think Bing's translation here of "Asian Quota" sound more correct.

1. Their 1st reason to have a better option is good. But the 2nd reason which is a replacement in case a foreign player injured is less possible because during club season these professional player will for sure be playing in different club league if they will not make it to kovo league.
2. It will be a good news for other asian country to be able to play in high level like kovo league. Though in japan league most of their asean players are on bench. So, if kovo league will do the same it doesn't make sense right? I have heard about asian players name Alyja santiago from Philipins? Who played two seasons there and good for her she played alot but other asean players in other club team there are on bench.
If kovo league will allow other asian player to play then let them play and not just put them in bench.

I'm glad Hillstate won... The blockers worked very well... Lee SY, Kang SH, n Lutz was render "speachless"... they look like don't know what to do with the Hillstate blockers...
KIixx coach keep recycling the setters Lee Go Eun n An Hye Jin throughout 3 sets...
Hillstate defence was very good...
And Lee DY was in very good form.. Her sets made it look easy for Hillstate attackers to score.. It's one of the short time duration of a match.....
Really different from their match before vs Pink Spiders...
If only they can maintain this kind of performance...

Breaking news!
All 13 teams (including the men's team) requested to stop the league until COVID-19 stops spreading.
Korean Basketball League(KBL) already stopped the league because one of the confirmed corona virus patient visited the hotel where players stayed. Some of the foreign players escaped from the team and go back to their home though they cannot come back to Korean league forever.
Also, Korean Baseball league decided not to play the exhibition game for the first time. Korean Soccer League decided to delay the league.
In fact, one medical trainer from Heunguk had a fever and had a checkup but fortunately he was not diagnosed as a corona patient.
However, as all the professional league in Korea decided to delay/stop the league, so KOVO too, is seriously considering to delay the league.

There are several reasons why some teams want asian quota(I aslo think this would fit better, thank you theloneracer).
1. The gap between teams could be reduced by the introduction of the asian quota.
2. Teams could get the players with cheap money because the money required to pay for korean player is increasing every other years.
3. Korean Volleyball League could enlarge the total market with asian players because it will be introduced to the countries where the players are from.
4. Teams could have more substitute players when some of their starting members are injured.
But what fans are claiming are these.
1. 6 teams is already so small for players to play. There are not enough chance for players to play if more foreign players are hired. In fact, Korean NT always suffered from their lack of opposite. And that is because foreign players took the opposite spot, and coaches didn't want to take the risk of using 'domestic' opposite.
2. One more thing for limited chance for players. Young players would have less chance for playing if one more foreign players are hired. There are already so many players retiring because they don't get chance, and this would become much severe with the introduction of the asian quota.
And it could finally reduce the total number of the youth players who want to play volleyball because they might not get the chance.
3. Therefore, the 7th team, or the league B should be first, not the Asian quota.
4. The reason why teams want asian quota is just they want to reduce the money required to maintain the team.
5. The majority of fans would like to see the Korean players playing because the majority of the fans are korean.
I think the asian quota would not become a reality, but if it does, the pool of the players will be limited to ASEAN players except for the Chinese or Japanese players because KOVO have to open their players to china or japan and it might lead the star players going to china or japan if they do that. (Japan's asian quota didn't allow Korean or Chinese either because of this.)
