CEV Men's European Volleyball Championship 2021 | Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Poland

  • Russia will be very pressured to win their next match against Netherlands and maybe Finland has some chances if Russia continues playing like this.. Who would have thought Maxim and Poletaev's exit brought a lot of problems to this team. Kiluka, aa good as he is, is not really a true opposite. I think this experiment will stop if Russia lose their next match.

I agree but I don’t think OPP was the main issue. Both setters played pretty bad, Pankov should have been tried before Russia lost it’s rhythm but since he was used as a serving sub, they couldn’t. I didn’t like Volkov as well. I don’t know why Volkov and Kliuka weren’t subbed.

  • Russia still insisting with Golubev.. :gone:

  • And Volvich's contribution on court is 0.. Kurkaev or Vlasov would do better than him

  • Sammelvuo utilizing Pankov as a serving sub is a disgrace to volleyball.

At this point, I would rather have him play as the opposite because he can block better than Kliuka anyway. Let him serve, let him defend and let him set sometimes.

Favorite players: M: Maxim Mikhaylov, Murilo, Serginho, Aaron Russell, Otavio, Simone Giannelli, Ivan Zaytsev, Tsvetan Sokolov, Michał Kubiak, Mariusz Wlazly, Pawel Zagummy W: Sheilla, Zhu Ting, Natalia, Fe Garay, Fofao, Gabi, Thaisa, Foluke Akinradewo, Wei Qiuyue, Ding Xia, Carli Lloyd, Fabi, Natalia Goncharova, Yuko Sano, Saoris Kimura and Sakoda

Like where is the logic? Kobzar has been unstable but they don’t have any other choice coz the backup setter is a serving sub 🙄

  • Kliuka served like a mini-god for a time but his attacks are not catching any fire yet.

  • Russia struggled against a seemingly average Netherlands and barely managed to win the tie-break, I don't see them getting past QF

  • Russia got lucky with the win. Yikes.

Yeah, the results here are horrible so far. It would've been better to send a younger lineup :rolll:

  • No one watched Poland 3:2 Serbia? A close match.

Poland shifted the momentum back after Kubiak was substituted by Semeniuk in set #4.

  • Honest question: what happened to Belgium and Estonia? They were fairly good teams and I used to think they were on the rise in Europe (and in the world) along with Slovenia, but these last couple of years it seems their level has decreased a lot.
