I just read (firewalled, unfortunately) Naomi Kawase has been tapped to direct this year's Olympics movie for Japan. Interesting choice. Very art-filmy (a Cannes favorite), but also very documentarian.
Exactly 1 week until first serve.
USA alternates aren’t going to Tokyo. Weird.
YouTubetv has 14 days free trial, I think it's pretty enough for the 16 days volleyball matches. However, I never tried it before, can anyone confirm that we can watch the matches live and replay on YouTubetv?
I just started the free trial, only 5 days for me, and only 720p 60fps on my Android 4K TV. You can watch movies (TV versions with ads) and live TV. Live TV can be paused and recorded for later viewing in your library (have not try it though and won't since I only watch live sports). It's worth the free trial if you can get 2 weeks but definitely not worth the full price.

Oh damn, they changed it from 14 days to 5 day right before the Olympics. Smart business!

You can also try other TV streaming like Hulu. It's better to start trial when Olympics start unless you plan to pay. Might get lucky with the two weeks again.

do you know if tencent will have broadcast and it will be available to non-Chinese IP?

CCTV have all the TV rights but Tencent along with Migu and I think Kuaishou will have online broadcasting of women's volleyball. I have no idea if it's geo blocked though. You will have to find out when it broadcasts.

Any cheaper site to watch volleyball?

I have no idea. If you live in the US, you will definitely need a paid subscription in order to watch all the volleyball matches online. I checked NBC schedule and they will only broadcast very limited replay games on cable TV. https://www.nbcolympics.com/schedule/sport/volleyball.

BBC iPlayer, since I heard it is free with UK VPN.

They haven't opened their live section yet until the day of the Olympics. Tokyo is 8 hours ahead from the UK so streams will take place around midnight to 15:00 BST for team sports
This is the web version which is also free to watch but I'm not sure if vpn is needed
It's going down in the history books for sure!
This underlines the fact that volleyball is getting more and more popularity and recognition all over the world🎉🎉
Since all teams brought their "alternatives", where will those players be staying? will they also be present at the venue along with the staff?
italy gonna have 2 friendlies with korea
