Before Olympics started, I wished for at least one team to pull a surprise against "stronger" teams. Russia might be making my dreams come true (no jinx please).

This is the problem with taking Hancock.. I feel like she has a similar role CT had in 2012 (let’s not bring 2016 up!) Glass was obviously the better setter overall, but Cortney had a better serve and allowed them to utilize the double sub, since unless an injury happened Berg was always gonna be the starter. The big difference right now is that Poulter is unstable and needs someone who can come in when she’s struggling.. sadly Hancock can’t offer better setting

Sorry for being so repetitive, but M-A-L-O-V-A

Oh God, please not another injury.....
-
No no. Not Jt pls
-
-
we're cancelling the olympics.
-
JT down.. not good news for the USA
-
And it's the same injury! URGH! They need to use some protection!
-
Oh shit. From the replay it is the most common ankle injury in volleyball. But the favt she is able to walk means it is not severe.
-
I am so sorry for Thompson. Her injury seems like the one Macris had.
Too many injuries in this OGs.
-
-
JT NO
-
quick. someone call Carlini and SWP please
-
Oh gosh...no Thompson!
Mexican commentators, a former vball player, says he thinks it isnt an injury of consideration, but it is very likely Jordan wont come back today.
At the same time, he pointed out that the back up player, Andres, it is more suitable for challenging Russian block than Thompson cuz of her speed.

This Russian team is not to be underestimated. I admit I thought they’d miss Parubets hugely but Voronkova is playing like a real all-rounder and the overall balance of the team is really much better than I expected.
-
JT is able to walk. So it is not that severe. Plus they can afford to rest her for the next match.
