    I don't want to italy face serbia,not by fear but because the other key gonna be so unbalanced and kinda a bad match and I think italy and serbia can win from both teams

    Apart from the shaky start, I think Hancock did a good job. Her sets to Drews were solid, Akinradewo got a few sets in front, Washington hammered some of her slides, which I think is really important since we went from our middles being the best players on the team in VNL, to having ghosts on the court here in Tokyo. Her connection with Bartsch is there, but Michelle’s offense just can’t start clicking. She also had a couple of digs, which we all know is Poulter’s weakness. So now that they finished 1st, and will face an easier opponent, I hope they relax a little bit and play their game.

    Also, with the risk of being burned at a stake by crovolley, can we say that Egonu is overrated when talking about the NT? When was the last time she played incredible for Italy? When was the last time she single-handedly won something big for them? She’s always deadly for her clubs, but is she meeting those expectations for the NT?

    Boskovic played with some bad setters in club level and still delivering. Egonu played with bad setters in NT level and cracked.

    About USA, I think Karch made some crucial mistakes! His biggest mistake is not taking Carlini as second setter. Poulter hasn't played great during VNL and now at the Olympics she seems lost on court. Hancock is such an unstable setter, so she will never have a postive impact at the crucial moments:S Also Wilhite could have been really useful. Bartsch and Robinson are underperforming badly, but also Larson hasn't been a great help either. Hill doesn't even get a chance, so why isn't Wilhite here:/Wilhite even could have been a good back-up at the opposite position. Now that Thompson is injured, USA will have big trouble if Drews has to be the starter the rest of the tournament. I've never seen USA receiving this bad and Drews is a joke out of system:gone: Middle blockers aren't performing well either. They are not helped by the setters, but also in block they aren't making any impact. I would start with Ogbogu and Akinradewo rest of the tournament. It's a shame least experienced player in the squad is your best player: Wong-Orantes. She only has been a starter since this summer, but has shown the most stable performance so far.

    pre 2017 too young/inexperienced (actually 2017 wgp was a decent result)

    2018 WCh sf vs china ;(

    2019 flopped in Ech vs serbia and vnl finals
