It's so sad that best MB of the olympics is turning home without a personal award. Now rooting for Ana Carol to get an award
Yeah right? Poor Folie

Btw, I have just noticed China had the chance to overcome Cuba and tied URSS like the team with more gold medals
Currently, URSS has 4, Cuba 3 and China 3 too. Brazil is just one step to be part of this selected club.
😢 And a lot of teams are playing badly this tournament... This was our chance and we threw it away.
Italy never passing QF? Check
China never defending? Check
USA never winning gold? We'll see.. ..
yes ofc I agree that this Russian system isn't the best in 2021 but I don't think comparing man and woman is good here. and she doesn't have many options to give important balls tbh. Like in the match against China she set probably 8 match balls in a row to Voronkova and she finally scored but if not Voronkova then Goncha is the second best option to set during important moments. You don't always get to set your middles because the reception in Russia team isn't that good and Arina is too inexperienced and likely to make mistakes in such moments.
Anyway, we can have dieffrent opinions on players but I still think that this performance of Russia was their best in last years and I am sure all players really care and wanted to win a medal.
I try my best since I actually like most of the players, but it's real difficult to support the team seeing Karch on the sidelines.
How do you do it? Lol

Yup, the moment the camera cuts to the sideline, I'm just like ...........
If Hancock could re-terrorize Busa with her serve like she did in the champions league…
that would be appreciate 🤐😂

In order to re-terrorize, she would need to put the serves inside the court first...

She was fine last night.
She's very much a "get into the groove" server. Hopefully she's had enough time to get comfortable

PERİODT.
From Athens to Tokyo - what a legend.
Who are the legitimate candidates who competed in Beijing 2008 (or London 2012) that will be in Paris 2024?
Fabiana? In her case Athens 2004 too

Larson probably could if she wanted to.
Eve/Brenda may (if they qualify) . De Gennaro, C Bosetti. Maybe Startseva/Natalia?. I beg Eda does.
Maja seems like the only Beijing one that could

agreed... unfortunately China made themselves a part of that "lot" of teams 😢
there were some redeeming matches, and few teams (Brazil, Serbia) which are still playing well/consistently, but otherwise this tournament isn't one to look back on & rewatch once it's done and over with

Vargas
Well, Carol Gattaz was on the 14-player roster for Athens 2004. She was cut during the Grand Prix. Of course this is her first Oympics, but she could've been there since 2004.

If at 39 she plays like Gattaz at 40 and is willing to return to the NT, I honestly don't see why not.

If Kim doesn't win a medal in this one, I feel like she may be back for Paris 2024 haha
She said it was her last Olympics in Rio '16, and said it again now - works wonders in the media & also in KVA giving more support (just a guess) like hiring Lavarini
I think Paris will be her real last
