Display Moregood god, we are going to into the stylish views of a good volleyball match.
Do we need to calculate rallies?
You have to think of a good match the following way:
1. Did the expected team win?
2. Was it a sweep?
3. Did they come from behind to win?
4. Was the upset of a come from behind variety?
5. How many sets went to extra points?
I watched the 2018 Serbia-Italy final in person in Yokohama. At times in the first four sets it was ho-hum, but watching Egonu and Boskovic was incredible. The fifth set was close until right at the end, but it was a good match. Watching the third round Italy-Japan 5-setter with Japan losing at the end 15-13 was again a great experience. The China-Italy slugfest in the semifinal with multiple deuces in the 4th and 5th sets.
Those questions don't necessarily determine if it was a good match or not. In 2018 it felt that every strong team played the best they could or at least reasonably close. 2021 just didn't feel like it.
