Briniging Golubev finally showed it was a mistake. Russian coaching staff is partly to blame, as essentially Russia was playing with no libero

Paris 2024 will be very interesting!

It always like that, France is so mentally prepared for 5 setter match in this OG. And, Brizard could handle that pressure really well. Congrats France.

It breaks my heart to see Mikha like that, but at the end there will always be a winner and a loser. He already did his best.

I bet the Russian coaching staff still don't see it and we still might see Golubev on NT lol
-
Non, je ne regrette rien!

Merci beaucoup, les gars!

Thank you, Tillie!
What a match, what a run! What a campaign! France had its personal little renaissance during this competition.
I am so grateful they won this! Jenia Grebennikov is an olympic champion! The admiration I have for this guy is something else...
IMHO, Kliuka is the MVP of this competition. Kudos to him.
But, obviously, what Ngapeth did is out of this world. Brizard needs to be mentioned too... The energy! Wow, I'm out of words...

-
Now France will get a chance to defend their title in home soil
But Bernardinho will be their new coach by then, right?

Usually he came as sub, but sure, he is evolving in this OG and make it his dance floor. He always turned the match to France side.

my french heritage today. félicitations France

-
Even Monica De Gennaro would probably do better than Golubev

-
Wow, salute to Tillie. Sr., he just created a history for France, despite all his strategy that we see as a hole.

Exactly, this was the last match of Laurent Tillie with the French NT.

I take it back

I'm so happy for today, at least we could see everyone trying their hardest, we are served with 2 five setter matches. It's emotionally drained, but it's satisfying.
Ugh, cant wait for Paris 2024.
-
I am not blaming him because he had a great match, but Kliuka with a couple erros in the 5th were crucial. Yakovlev too. Pankov shouldn't have insisted and should had made the basic and set to Mikhailov. France had some key receptions against powerful serves in the 5th, which were crucial.
Volkov always shit his paints in big matches. Russia should be looking for someone else...and hope this was the last match ever from Volvich. Mediocre MB. And he is old too.

Allez les bleus!
