Volleyball Thailand League 2020

    It is said that Du Qing-qing will join a Thai club in the 2nd leg but she should be in the training camp of Chinese women's NT now.

    I don't know whether the rumor is right or wrong.


    PS: Due to lack of wing spikers, Du Qing-qing was as a substitute player of Shandong VC in Chinese League 19/20. The main wing spikers are Song Mei-li, Song Li-qi and Sun Jie (OP).

    ONJ and joy16 was the last match of Supreme not important? Why did they play without 4 key players?


    Supreme without their key players are rather weak and I think they will be have struggled to win against the 3 lower teams. This year the lower teams are playing better game by game. They have challenge all the stronger teams in some sets and even won a set in some of their losing games. Wipawee, I think all these years on the NT, you haven't really developed much to warrant your NT spot. I think it's time some other young prospects take your place. Same with Pattaya, I hope she doesn't get a future NT spot just because she is part of Supreme's club. She is similar to Wipawee both in height and skill level, so it's no in my opinion if she ever gets a NT spot too.

    Du Qingqing is replacing Tiana for the rest of Thailand league. Tiana, however, is still with the team preparing for the Super League. The Super League allows one more foreign player to play.


    Supreme said a lot of their players are either sick or injured. I do understand that. I don’t quite understand the decision to put Piyanuch in as a OH though. At that point, it’s like they didn’t want to win anymore ?(


    I do believe Thailand league is a game of setters. The team with a good setter will likely be a winner. So I think it’s Khonkaen, Korat, or Supreme (if Soraya is still good to play).

    Ranking in 1st leg is only used for money award. Only points and ranking in 2nd leg will be used to determine the final 4 teams.

    Thanacha’s name is on Supreme roster since the beginning of leg 1.

    I never know about translations, and didn't mean to imply that she "quit" or anything, but the end of the V.League season is usually considered to be the Kurowashiki Tournament which is in May. Some foreigners stick around, some leave at the end of the regular season. I have no idea what her, or anyone else's contract dates might be.

    just my opinion, but when she plays confidently, she is almost unstoppable.....same can be applied to Pimpichaya as well. I just wish both were at least 2-3 inches taller.

    Daimi Ramirez got injured during yesterday match. She’ll be out for at least 2 months ;(


    I feel sorry for her and Korat. Their chemistry on court was really good and her absence was felt in yesterday match. I’m surprised the kids took it to 5th set after they lost her in set 1.


    Now I think Korat team will make it to the final 4 but it would be difficult to defend its title this year.


    Anyway, Thailand league is really exciting this year with 5 big teams competing for the final 4.
