COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

  • How is this related to Covid? Please continue via PM or elsewhere...

  • Why the hell am I mentioned here?:what:

  • Noumory Keita (Mali) who was drafted by South Korean team KB Insurance Stars in the Korean men's V-League has tested positive for Covid-19. It is reported that Keita was asymptomatic when he arriving in South Korea from Serbia on July 2nd. The following day he was tested for Covid-19 as required by the South Korean government and a positive result came out on July 4th. Keita was staying at the team lodging alone but has now been moved to a hospital for quarantine. Three team staff members who had contact with Keita have also been quarantined and the team's lodging has also been closed temporarily. Luckily for the team, the Korean players were on vacation at the time. Sources: 1, 2, 3

  • Almost 9000 new Covid cases today and 83 deaths. It's highest number of new infected ever reached in Italy. The former highest number was 6557, from march 21, but that record has been broken 2 days in a row (october 14: 7332; october 15: 8804).

I guess we're about to have a second total lockdown, or at least small ones on smaller areas at first. I really hope I'm wrong, but the numbers are crazy high already. The football league, Serie A, already collapsed and they are thinking about a bubble system like NBA in order to keep it going.

  • Only country who is going normally is Sweden. Without any problem, without idiotic lockdowns without mask or anything.

Everyone should go in Sweden direction and that is it.

  • imagine living shrouded in the highest form of ignorance bliss

And how is Sweden still going normally ? Ignorance ?

Only country which numbers are not wilding and they didn't have any lockdowns. Because they are not idiots.

    3 main factors:

    1. They are pretty rich country which can afford 'a loss' 6,000 people. Each death, hospital treatment is a cost for a country. (Please read what is 'value of life' in economics).

    2. They have pretty good medical care, so their system was able to handle that without any lockdowns.

    3. Country's density is 25 people/km2, so the virus doesn't spread so fast.

  • There are people in this world (read the forum) who just can't figure out certain things (read everything that involves thinking for 2 minutes), so guys warm advice not to try to explain and that we all go nicely to Sweden :drink:.

This is true. Plus, they have a government that's not corrupt and actually prioritizes the welfare the people. So unfortunately, not every country can be like Sweden.

  • Unfortunately, there's covid fatigue going everywhere around the world so another lockdown could bring forth a very powerful revolution from those people who are tired of it.

In my opinion, just be careful and do all your best to protect yourself and your family. Don't fight/argue with people who are against mask or lockdown especially through physical altercation because there's a likelihood of transmission of the virus when people yell or even talk with each other.

Stockholm is a pretty dense city but Sweden's single person household is the most in the world. It probably helped them fight the virus without further restrictions because there's no one to infect at home.
