Turkey NT 2020

  • Yes, Yeliz started the season in Tirana, Albania, but after few weeks club relased the contracts with foreigners.

Later, she moved to Puerto Rico. QPL would be able to say you more about her performance.

Her team to me is the biggest disappointment of the league so far. They haven't any decent OHs, just OPPs. Sometimes Yeliz is benched. When she plays, she does a very good job, expecially when she plays opposite. You can find everything on the LVSF topic.

  • Yeliz might be the only player who played in more leagues than Tom Logan😂

  • There are rumours about Vargas being naturalized. How about Sinead Jack and Meijners? Can they also play as local players since they are married to someone Turkish?

Where did you get this information about Vargas? There were some rumors abput this last year too but then nothing happened. I hope it comes true. Vargas would be a great addition to NT. She is still too young

  • Basa did great in both Indonesian and Thai leagues with the help of both Thai NT setters. Nootsara as you mentioned and Pornpun in the Indonesian league.

  • in my opinion the best young setter in the turkish league that year was buket gulubay. it is very fast and blocks well. I really wanted to watch it on VNL.

sorry, but i can never trust cagla akin.

I also think that elif sahin did well in the Turkish league, but his team was very limited.

some players that in my opinion stood out this year:

burcu yuzgenç, yasemin, buket, tugba, ayca, derya cebecioglu.

i think burcu can be a good alternative to the opposite.

about Sinead Jack and Meijners, the FIVB only allows one player naturalized per country. in the case Sinead Jack and Meijners played for the adult selection of their countries.

  • Burcu was terrible:what: her attacking ratio was less than 30% almost every match:white:

  • could you say a good name in the opposite position that played better than burcu?

meryem did not play well this season in aydin.

    enjoy substitution, like ebrar

She wasn't great neither but at least not as bad as burcu

Welcome back on the forum, long time no see! I also think Buket is underrated btw and ofc Buse Ünal.

    273/5000

    meryem was born in 1988.

burcu was born in 1999 and has never played on a team with good players. I don't think it should be discarded. I hope to see you on a good team next season. I think it has potential. furthermore, turkey does not have many options in the opposite.

  • I liked her way more than Mihajlovic and Sylla at the ECH. She fully deserved the Best outiside hitter award IMHO.

She has been very dominant in the last tournaments with her NT.

  • We have to praise Naz as well. Most of those attacks were against running blocks :white:

Ha! I was going to write her best kills came from Cansu, especially the first few. LOL

She ended up tipping (intentionally or not) a handful from NAZ. I'll watch it again

imo Cansu's precision, her 'touch' is so next level :cheesy: if she beats her struggles with her nerves and continues improving she can be a legendary name in the future tbh.
