i agree with you about megan easy. she hasn’t been exceptional but she’s doing an okay job in the back row and offensively. yesterday it was very mixed. she’s not young anymore and she’s coming back from many injuries. also, i noticed the way she spikes is peculiar in that she’s not facing the net, but her body is sideways, that she’s almost facing the sideline. had not noticed that before.

That’s the thing I like about Roberta after all these years is that she isn’t a fancy setter, but she gets the job done. During her stint on Rexona when she started to become the starting setter her sets distribution was great and she played with her middles a lot. She is starting to het back to that form and I am very excited to see her again!

About Minas... I disagree with most comments here. Cuttino was bad yesterday and made lots of mistakes. But it was one match only - I think she can do better in the future, though I am sure she is not NT material right now. I also think that Megan, despite her bad reception, has been playing ok so far.
As i said it already, my comment it is not related to just this match, i have opinion about her depends on her performances in Casalamagiore and this match just confirm that opinion, i didn't say that she can't be better in the future, but now she is far from USA NT, and that was my main point, and the fact that she can't estimate when and how much to jump is definitely not the case only last night, it is an integral part of her game, and that feeling can hardly be learned by training, but certainly due to exceptional physical predispositions she can reach a very solid level, but TBH IMO never USA NT level.

The best MBs are Thaisa, Carol, Adenizia and Mayany.
you forgot my girl, juci.
-
about cuttino, it’s an interesting question why she’s trying to go for fast sets. with her jump and her reach, she could just wait for a high set like most OPP. it’s not like she’s someone like murphy, who needed fast sets to beat the block.

I like her but she's playing poorly since last season
-
This season we might see another non-SESC in the finals. Praia seems unbeatable so far. It will be interesting to see how this Osasco team grow through out the remaining of the season.
and my girl Mayany will only get better from now. Fingers crossed. -
Do you have any news on sesc?
-
praia x flu
-
is mayara not available? she'd be an improvement over dayse...
and why is hylmer going with marcela (MB) for the double sub and not tomé?
and praia doesn't have a proper gym?
-
Answering some of the questions:
Tomé is injured. I'm not sure what exactly about Praia's gym you are talking about.
And as said before, Flamengo/Sesc has 7 players with covid and they will resume the league next round.
-
Still no Mari? 😩
-
and now they lost giovana... ugh.
-
the ball hit the ceiling. it's too low. and the stadium seating, instead of proper seats... (i don't know how to describe, it's those cold concrete benches...)
-
It's surely on FIVB standards, otherwise they wouldn't play there.
-
i don't know the standards but i remember last year's FLU matches, their gym is even smaller... looked like a school gym.
i remember years ago, i watched some euro Q matches that AZE NT hosted, they played in some kind of hangar with NO seats...
giovana came back but they still lost 2nd set.
bruna has such a weird arm swing but she can score...
-
how tall is julia? she looks short, about 176 cm?

Praia is such a fun team to watch. All the players are laughing and enjoying themselves! Also (at least in this match) their block did a wonderful job

And a fun fact for you: The commentator said today that it was Anne who suggested that they start celebrating with that little jumps of theirs... She seems really happy playing there and it's reflecting in the whole squad... I'm not a Praia fan by any means but seeing Anne and Carol together is really awesome
-
they copied that celebration from the kenyan women...
