It's a shame they only get one CL team
I agree and I hope Stuttgart will have the chance to play CL if some other teams from other countries don't use their spots.

It's even more unfortunate the ending that Potsdam (withdraw) and Dresdner (one off tie) had to their campaigns this season. They won't get the coefficient boost that Romania will.
In an interview after the match Alexander Waibl said, that some players will leave Dresden. Players who have been in Dresden for a while now...so I guess next to Dürr who will surely retire, maybe Stigrot, Weitzel and/or Cyris could leave them.
But he also said the team will look quite familiar to this seasons team...

Sorry, my dear StefanS. You are such a kind user. I feel more sorry for you than MTV Stuttgart itself.
Somehow, I didn't like them this season.
I need Renkema to remind us this is their best roster ever.
I think this was overall a very strange season, but of course the absence of their fans in the halls hurted both teams in the finals, Dresden and Stuttgart, strongly. They are used to gain much energy from the fans usually...

This won't happen, I think. Remember German league and federation have no standing in CEV; the only influential ones are Italy, Turkey, Russia and Poland. And honestly, financially it will be a relief for Stuttgart to do only CEV cup instead of CL once. There are stronger teams, which missed CL qualification too, you know, in stronger leagues (look above). CEV is used to give ever weaker leagues additional spots, but next season will be much more close to normal than the current one.
Does the league do a dream team?
If not, who are your dream teams for this season?

There's no official dream team but some users created one after regular season. However, after the playoffs mine would be:
S: Denise Imoudu
OPP: Krystal Rivers (though it could as well be Storck)
OH: Jennifer Janiska, Greta Szakmary
MB: Marie Schölzel, Camilla Weitzel
L: Aleksandra Jegdic

I like it
I'd put in JWO, but I'm not biased or anything
Looks like Erica Handley will play for Wiesbaden next season.
so sad about stuttgart
After beung beaten many times by schwerin they arrived to this final and lost

But they won the last regular season 2019 and funnily, Rivers didn't lose the championship herself, because she couldn't play in the last two decisive matches...
Highlights of the last final match:
Some article quotes Lenka Dürr saying that her time in Dresden is over due to personal reasons That doesn't sound like a typical retirement announcement, but I guess we'll get something official in the next days.
In their "End of the Season Party" Dresden announced that Maja Storck renewed her contract.

It seems quite common that American players retire after playing only 1 or 2 seasons overseas unfortunately

Yea, it’s pretty common. It’s just not financially viable for a lot of players or they have a better opportunity elsewhere. she’s coming back to coach here, I’m not sure if it’s as a paid gig or if they’ll pay for her graduate school.
I saw a tweet but I don’t remember who said it, but it said Dresden renewed with Gray and Gates
Rivers has been released from hospital yesterday Still no info what is/was wrong with her though, but good to see she's improving!
