Wow.
Really surprised Barfield and Schölzel are leaving. I'm curious where all of them will play next season.
So it looks like there will be quite a radical change in the team. I can't imagine that Stoltenborg will stay and for me there's also a question mark behind Spelmann.
-
Barfield are not surprised. I think she retiered.
-
I would not be surprised if Schölzel and Szakmáry play abroad (Szakmáry is rumoured in Italy) and Lauren Barfield might retire (even though she is still a great player)
OTOH I am glad that Agost and Oude Luttikhuis are leaving. Agost deserved to be a starter in another team and IMO Oude Luttikhuis was not contributing anyways. Schwerin definitely needs a defensive OH to stabilize their reception.

cant believe they are keeping Spelman
I mean indeed she played a few good matches throughout the season but overall she's just average

For some reason Koslowski seems to be fond of her. However I think the news that 6 players are leaving for sure doesn't necessarily mean that the rest is going to stay for sure.
Szakmary and Schölzel both are rumored to go to Italy and this article sounds like Agost, Oude Luttikhuis and Jatzko will go to teams where they get more playing time.

Today final series starts Dresden vs. Stuttgart in Dresdens Margon hall, still without spectators (this will be the case for the whole final series, regardless in which hall), 16:30 on TV station Sport1. IMHO especially the shape of Stuttgart will determine the outcome - if they play great, they will win, being stronger than Dresden, but if not, Dresden will win because of being more stable and reliable in performance. The quotes are too high in favour for Stuttgart IMHO (at least today), because winning both matches in league round against Dresden 3:0 may mean nothing now.

Will there be a livestream for Dresden-Stuttgart??
-
Lohuis is not in Stuttgart's roster, and even though this is sad for them and for the match, I'm glad she doesn't play injured. And Tobias Markfeld is 1st referee for the match, so thank God for the challenge system even more!

The official one from Sport1 needs German IP, when the match starts I'll check if there are others
-
Lohuis won't play at all in the final series due to her injury. Today Stuttgart brought a 16 year old MB from their 2nd team as backup.

I see a French channel in your link but Sport1 here: http://www.freeintertv.com/view/id-3145/1-1-0-1
EDIT I also see the French channel from my link when I click it. It's necessary to click "Sport1" link under the stream first, then you see the right one...

Weird went right to Sport1 for me... maybe it's an IP thing

Waibl switched the positions of Weitzel and Gates in the rotation but so far it doesn't seem to have an impact, Gray really needs to work on that!
-
I said opposite before.... but I'd like to see Rivers get another shot with the NT... I think she offers something different than who we have now.... and our RS has plenty of issues
-
I'm sure Rosenthal is a great person... but there's so many more American middles that would be a better (and just as cheap) options for Stuttgart
-
Dresden won't have a chance without contribution from the middles. Stigrot and Storck won't score 25 pts each against Dresden. However the double sub seems to have a good effect for now...

I think she does deserve some credit though, she got the job done well enough in the semifinals and also today she's not bad. She's a limited player for sure, but within her limits I think she does as much as she can at the moment.
