  • I disagree. Elif is not fine. She’s young yes but she cannot set on the run or if the ball is off. She’s lucky she has Bosko. How was she last season, I’m curious

I didn't see her last season.

As for "being fine" I meant she's young, she's going to learn. There's a lot of expectations for someone who is only 19. I don't think she signed to be the starting setter. Mirkovic is the bigger issue.

  • I don't know for 19years old Elif showed okej performance. Setter are reaching their peaks way latter than OPP and OHs.

But yeah because of her age I don't think so that She is ready to carry that big club.

Kind of agree about the setters, but someone mentioned Carlini, and this bold statement is exactly her big weakness, so i am sure that she isn't right choice for Ecz. Unfortunately we don't have a lot of good setters ATM.

so this is a management issue. I don’t think Mirkovic is bad but she does not get to play with quality teams consistently. Maybe champions league will be better because she will probably play all the matches. I refuse to believe that there aren’t good Turkish setters they could have hired....

Mirkovic was i can say very good in matches in wich she was a starter, against weaker teams but she just isn't that caliber of players, that she can come in when they needs to and shine and make up for all the mistakes in 2 and a half sets of Elif, or it doesn't have to be Elif, simply Sladjana is not a game changer setter, but i am sure and I repeat that this constant mixing of setter does not have a good effect on either Sladja or Elif or Eczacibasi as a team. So i must blame Motta for that.

About Turksih setter i don't know, maybe Buse Unal, but TBH i am not impressed with, but yes because she is a turkish she for sure should be on mind of Ecz mngm.

she was real bad last season. This season, I have to say she surprised me but she is still not enough. When Eczacibasi beat Vakifbank in Super Cup and Elif played good, people said there is nothing wrong and she is good and can be better along the season, but I still haven’t changed my mind. She is not as bad as last season but still not enough, especially for a team as Eczacibasi.

  • To big expectation from setter who is only 19years old.

  • If you mean the most blocked player per game, then Melissa is definitely your go to player:super:

Her level has been slightly worse in the last few matches but her first 5-6 ones...'chef's kiss'.

  • Btw, forgot to point out Busa's level. If anything in this season has brought me joy, it's to see her play to her potential (not always, but still), and hopefully get her deserved recognition. Bogdan will know how much casual fans in Serbia like to shit on her due to her extremely thankless job of having to cover half of the court and having to receive 50+ serves in every single match during any competition, but she is getting her chance to flex her offensive muscles and it's been a joy.

  • "Brankica has had health problems since the beginning of the season, but on her own initiative she trains and plays, the professional staff works intensively on her recovery and return to recognizable form, it is possible that she will pause a few games, so as not to risk more serious problems."

Zoran Terzic said in conversation with serbian journalist (volleyball specialist) from well known SportKlub TV, Igor Jagličić.

  • nootsara was awful at fenerbahce

what a shame. They should try for Poulter next season if they want to continue this young player trend.

  • It honestly is such a shame that Brankica struggles and carries such a baggage due to her non-existent receiving because her spiking form is so aesthetically pleasing. As they say, she does a text-book spike. Even with having receiving skills of a 14 year-old who has only been training for a few months (as OH!) she garnered so many individual awards throughout her career (and rightly so). Imagine what a player she would have been if only she had developed even just a passable level!

  • It may be too early for a question like this, but it is already very interesting to me.

Maja seems to enjoy the field like never before in her career, she literally dances and I would dare say, although I don’t want to belittle the previous 17 years of her career, she plays better than ever. Knowing her athletic and competitive soul and desire, it seems to me that this is not her last season, suppose not, the main question is what do you think is there a possibility that Vakif will let Cansu to go, I think even though she plays very badly this season that there is certainly a place for her in the Turkish league as a starting setter, the more everyone except Vakif and Fener are crying out for her.

I personally think that this is a very risky move, if I were the management of Vakif, I would never do it, but as volleyball lover, oh God i will enjoy in that. Maja will definitely retire at some point, and then Vakif would be in potentially big trouble, I don't believe he would look for a new foreigner (they didn't do that until Maja), and with all due respect, Buket doesn't seem to me to ever be able to withstand the power and strength of a team like Vakif on his shoulders, Fener will be in a big advantage with Sengun in the future ( it would be very foolish of them to drop that advantage).

  • I think it is more about that Maja wants to become mother, She is already 36years old..
