Panasonic, Ibiden, and Denso have Tweetboxes and showed the matches live (without scoreboard) and then posted set results afterword, so there's confirmation of those. Mazda doesn't have a tweetbox or a home page, and the 9-ball web site is no help, so it's an assumption Mazda beat Kagoshima 2–0 [Update]: confirmed
Panasonic Bluebells are my NEC Red Rockets; Mazda X9 are my NoSmilers. Mazda's got to get their shit together if they're going to be one of four teams guaranteed to be in the semifinals every time.
I watched the Panasonic v Ibiden match and wasn't sure who was winning or who won until I rewound it a couple times and determined Panasonic won the point just before everyone took a bow
Panasonic is a weird combination of SAGA Professionalism and NoSmiler no-smiling. Their body language gave away nothing during the match. They don't party or high-five or curse or pout. They are all business.
Tonight's matches will be:
Semifinal:
- Panasonic Bluebells v Mazda Cross Nine
- Denso Ten Red Phoenix v Ibiden Regulus
5th place 1st match:
- Kagoshima Bank Region Wings v Higashin Blue Rabbits
Not sure why 5th place is a two match play-off. But they are on schedule to play again tomorrow
