Japan - V.League V1 (Division 1, Women) 2020-2021

  • Are the Americans done for the season?

I saw Plummer and Tapp in the NT gym in California.

Foluke and Joseph are still playing full time. Simone is playing about half time

btw - Simone is gorgeous with her Kurobe colored hair :rose:

  • Rino is in :!::!:

She looks bigger and older in big pants <3

  • Oh I forgot about Foluke and Simone lol (Joseph is Canadian)

    How come Drews/Tapp/Plummer returned?

I don't know the whys ... maybe werka has some insight

I include Joseph as a North American :)

  • SAGA takes the first set over Denso 26–24

I'm happy Hikari Kato is playing

  • Seems to be a lot of sweat on the floors of both arenas tonight.

Looks like SAGA wants to give JT a seat at the SF table (unless Himeji ...)

  • Rino's first V.League point :rose:

Hitachi put her in the front row. Kurobe countered with Simone :)

  • Saori Kamisawa in the front line ! I love V Cup <3

  • They must have fired screaming baby dude. He was supposed to call the Denso SAGA match but it's without commentary.

[-] Damn, he's back screaming baby the JT Himeji match:mad:

  • Himeji knows how to play but they don't know how to win yet

    Baby steps

  • Himeji actually closed out a set. That's cool.

JT's defense is very frustrating. And Tanaka is being frustrating. And Thatdao

  • I don't know the whys ... maybe werka has some insight

I include Joseph as a North American :)

as I had said before. Foluke needs more fitness, and asked to stay (plus having the kid too).

    Lee probably won’t make team.
Hanna and Plummer are options for team, and made sure to tell the team before the season started.

Joseph and Canada will be in VNL, so no issue still playing.

    Saturday, March 27: Semifinal

    1st match 13:00
    SAGA v NEC Red Rockets
    2nd match 16:00
    Saitama v JT Marvelous
  • So ... two cowardly teams that cheated against two teams who mostly didn't.

Still, I kinda hope SAGA wins it in their beautiful black uniforms with dark purple lettering you can't read :cup:

  • Is this V. Cup the same tournament played about 15 years ago?

I think so, but I didn't know about those previous editions until you brought it up a while back. I still don't really know anything about it because it doesn't have a Wikipedia page :P

It's curious to me how this list remains with these old transfer-hopers.

Starting at the bottom, Yumi Nakagawa was the only good thing about Toray in 17/18. She got invited to NT wide roster and never showed up. Haven't heard a peep about her since then.

Minami Suda has a bunch of cute pictures out there if you google her. The Superiors folded up shop a couple years ago.

Yuki Egawa has already signed with Ligare Sendai.

Ikumi Nishibori was one of those veteran types that helped get Brilliant Aries off the ground.

Mizoguchi is the first out the gate this year in what I hope is going to be a busy transfer-hopin' season.

Yoshizato is also a curiosity. She won the 19/20 V2 league top scorer award, transfer-hoped at the end of that season, didn't play the 20/21 season, and only now shows up as withdrawal.
