Yeah, KIXX won the KOVO Cup in straight sets.
GS and Heungkuk won 3 and lost 3 against each other during the regular league. They only had two 5-set matches (in R2 & R3) this season with each team winning once and losing once.
FYI you can find all the match results on page 1 here and if you click on the match score it will take you to my match stats summary for the match.
I'm sorry... I just notice Kim Se Young is absent... she has been absent for a long time, almost the same time as the twins suspended.. Is she injured? or retired already?
Yeah, like what vlover said, Kim Se-Young picked up an injury during the game against GS on February 28. In that game, Se-Young injured her left thumb. However, the reason is out for the season is because she had surgery on a different injury. Apparently, Se-Young was already having pain around her ring finger on her right-hand (not sure when she sustained this injury exactly). The hospital recommended surgery on both injuries but from what I gather using google translate, Se-Young is only having surgery on the right ring finger ligament based on the quote from Park Mi-Hee.

thought?
Still, a lot of hurdles for this to happen but long overdue.
I have seen some fans' comment that the new team should be based in Busan, Daegu, and Gwangju. These areas seem to have a strong volleyball presence due to the existing high school volleyball teams. However, all of these places are far away from Seoul, even further than Gimcheon where Hi-pass is located. This may become a burden for the officials and broadcasters to travel to and from constantly.
Personally, I would like to see an eight women's team league. But this will mean a lot of extra games if they keep the regular league to 6 rounds so maybe 4 rounds instead with each team playing 28 matches each. After that, the top 4 teams can advance to playoffs with 1st playing against 4th and 2nd playing against 3rd in a best of 3 or 5 match series. The winner of each series will then advance to a best of 5 match final series.
Congratulations to Pyo Seung-ju, who is getting married on May 1st. You've had it tough this year. Rest well, enjoy. Then, we've got the VNL to kill

i really like the idea having more team (fully support the idea LOL) and if they can make it they can arrange the match like short - short - long travel distance or something like baseball match schedule in Korea maybe(not sure how they look like before covid). if im not mistaken Daegu and Gwangju have baseball team too which also far away from Seoul.
Whilst we wait for game 2 tomorrow, sharing the U18 AVC girls in 2017 vs Thailand.
Very interesting to see GS Caltex bench players like Lee Won Jeong, Park Hye Min, Moon Ji Yun, Kim Hye Bin all together and of coz Lee Ju Ah and Jeong Ji Yun when they were still sprouts but now have blossomed into key players in Pink Spiders and Hillstate. Only Sim Miog seems to have "disappeared" in the IBK bench.
PS if you look hard enough you would see Kwon Mi Ji maknae at the end sobbing tears of joy!

Gwangju is famous for its baseball team KIA Tigers.
based on news on naver, the institution is Pepper savings bank.
Apparently making a sport team is excellent promotion in Korea.
realistically forming a team within a month is impossible, its better to prepared for 2022.
Late again... already 1-0 for Kixx...
youtu.be/xdoSGPgP0is
Looks like it's gonna be a sweep again....Bruna's back being average
KYK only 1 pt from the last 5 swings.... not good set or she's "tired"?
2-0... a quick n easy win again...not much hope and expectation for fight back from the looks of it...
Well, that's it... straight set....
I have no doubt Kixx will win just easy as this in the 3rd match.....
That KOVO scheduling is just crazy
Hmm I want to see GS Caltex a bit more but at the rate this is going, they will prob win the game on Tues 3-0.
Anyways KYK should not over-exert herself as her main goal is the olympics so let's see how the next game goes!

SIM Mi-Og got more court time this season with IBK than she ever did in her two seasons at Hyundai E&C.
I think only two players from that squad are no longer in the V-League, libero #19 KIM Da-Hee and the second setter #4 LEE Yun-Ju.
Surprisingly, the starting libero was drafted by Hi-pass as a trainee player only and after that first season, she was let go. LEE Yun-Ju joined IBK Altos but just like Da-Hee, she left after one season too.
As previously mentioned, Hyundai E&C has officially announced the appointment of KANG Sung-Hyung (KSH) as their new Head Coach. KSH will officially take on the role starting on April 1st however he will be helping to train the South Korean Women's NT until Stefano Lavarini has finished his self-quarantine. Sources: 1, 2, 3
