2021 Women Volleyball Nations League

  • I know everyone keeps complaining about Zé but let's not forget he built almost an entire new team after Athens and Brazil won every single tournament in 2005 and 2006, except for the WCH. Maybe after Tokyo Brazil will be on the top again.

  • I declare myself guilty of underestimating Brazil (in general, not just based on today's match). But still, I don't like their age structure at all

As for Russia, duh...it has been said many times but I'll say it too: Malygina does not belong to this level at all. Not even to like two levels lower actually :wavy: I'm sure she's a very ambitious girl, even changing her position in order to maybe have a better chance, but it doesn't change the fact that height is the only thing she can offer and that won't do on any position.

Yes, this is so surprising ?(

    OMG lmfao!

  • Can you imagine, after Tokyo its 3 yrs then its already Paris 2024!

I keep wondering why Malygina is getting her chances but maybe this is Busato's way of making her realize that this is not her level and she should just stop

  • Malygina got the tapes.

  • nawrocki asking for time out loosing 18:23 telling the girls that the score is good

    cringe

where is Rozanski and what needs to happen in order for her to enter the court?

That guy is ridiculous. At 8-14 in 1st set he took a time out and told "defence of the cross attacks is good. Keep going". Nawrocki is the first thing to make polish NT better. The second one is to borrow some USA players like Drews. But I think that first option is easier. No wonder why Wolosz doesn't want to participate in this circus :D

  • I was expecting a good match today but the moment I saw Goncha and Startseva were not in the line up I somehow knew this would be a disaster. Hahaha it was really funny how the coach took Malygina in. I hope this will be the last time I saw her play for NT.

For tomorrow's game I am a little bit confident they can beat Japan in 3 sets if they will use the same line up as yesterday. But who knows? Maybe Malygina will play again tomorrow 😂

  • The ageism some people have in sports is annoying tbh. People should have their chances regardless of their age if they put on hard and deserve it.

To be fair, Carol Gattaz, Macris, Camila Brait, and Garay are okay. Sheilla, sad to say, is a big no. :(

For the Men's team I think it's fair enough to say that age doesn't matter. Marouf, Mikhailov, Anderson, Kurek, Musersky and Bruno can still deliver optimum plays.

But for the women's, the emergence of Zhu, Egonu and Boskovic greatly affects the phase of the game. Younger players must be forced to upgrade their skills if they want to get a taste of victory.

Its not really about ageism. Carol Gattaz is even older than Sheilla and she is delivering and is on her way to Tokyo. Sheilla doesnt even bring anything to the table anymore. Her last good game was World Championships 2014. She should just give her spot to Lorenne as the backup Opp.
