Politics and social issues

  • I would be more sympathetic if the Americans (Not Olivia) "mourning" would be willing to work towards a solution (gun control). but theyre not. These shootings are happening almost quite literally every day... there was one not even that far away at a school in Colorado in the same afternoon yesterday.... "Mourning" Kirk without standing for a solution is just sympathizing with his beliefs. They're blaming the "radical left" despite no indication of who the shooter is (at least last I heard) and deflecting from the Epstein files.

I don’t think this whole situation had much to do with gun laws. His assassination was planned, gun might as well be bought illegally easily.

On the other hand as much as I don’t agree with extremism coming from USA (neither left nor right) it makes more sence for it to be bigger picture behind all of this then some “raging radical leftist”

I’m not sure “mourning” Kirk is just sympathizing with his ideas for most people. Me personally, besides the obvious that children are without father for the rest of their life, find this whole situation more tragic because of how it affects people who would want to speak freely in the future and potentially their fear of speaking freely.

Accepting that sometimes ideas one might not agree with have to be heard to gurantee freedom for ideas one would agree with to also be heard, that’s the concept I think many people find endangered and are “mourning” even if they didn’t share Kirk’s ideology.

And trust me, this is coming from someone from Serbia and we really lack in every aspect of any freedom right now under this regime so I know to appreciate the system where free speech is valued.

I'd find that idea to be more believable if this administration and their supporters weren't actively trying to silence or punish those that disagree with them. thats where I find the hypocrisy from the American right. "rules for thee, but not for me" is the MAGA motto.

  • I think pointing out the irony of the entire situation, even if disrespectful is important. A person who said school shootings are "necessary price" for having guns. And actually he was debating the very same idea minutes before being shot. I can sympathize with his children, not with his wife, because being married to a person who says people should consider "stoning gays to death" is telling about her as well. I think it tells you something about the world we live in where dying children get less sympathy than alive children with a mother and a pot of gold to live, but whatever

  • I didn't know that such person as Kirk exists as keeping away from politics make my life healthier, but now I'm reading about him and here are his words:

It’s worth it to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God‑given rights.”.

So many conclusions in my head now...

  • Doesn’t matter what kind of person someone is or if one agrees with him or not. Differences in political option are in no world a reason for assassination.
If people start killing someone they disagree with under the “he wasn’t a good person” then there won’t be a place for even a good ideas to come out cause all freedom to express the ideas would be dead.

I'm not saying we should kill all people with sick ideas like him but it somehow gives me such a beautiful inner peace to know that he is not wasting oxygen anymore in this world while inflicting so much pain on so many vulnerable groups and spreading so much hate in this world.

I totally understand the celebrations after his death and can empathize them very well. In this world bad guys are known to get away with their shitty behaviour. It is very understandable that finally karma is a bitch works in this particular case😍😍❤️❤️

PS: I don't feel sorry even tiny bit for neither his wife nor his family for raising such a shitty person or chosing to live with him

  • Actually most of Poles supports Palestine (more than 70% according to polls so much higher than in the US) and almost none of the political parties support Israel, so it's not a viable way to figure out someone's political views in Poland
