His grandfather is an American and mother is half Japanese/ German.
Erika's husband started crying halfway through the press conference at the back they're so precious. The Oyama sisters are also very supportive of her.
Ran is dating Ishiikawa. The brother.
*wishful thinking 😂*

I didn't watch her presscon but I saw Saori's story. Araki-san is already glowing.
is that supposed to be a good thing? who has he led since rio?
Well at least we know it's easier for Takeshita to reach out to him. She and Manabe see eye to eye
lmao whatever happened to Yoshihara did she get cold feet
is he gon bring back the hybrid
Erika is a candidate to be part of Japan's Olympic Committee (JOC) if she wins she will be the first and only volleyball player to be part of it.
It's 5am and I still need sleep so I'll just post everything later way too many news

I believe Manabe co-owns Victorina but Takeshita has more say with the team's strategy I think. Victorina's coach is this young lanky guy who is always fidgeting in the corner. He's a talker alright
Manabe again? We'll just have to see if he still got it. I'm not against it ...yet

He is not the co-owner, he is the owner of the team. Takeshita is the President of the team.
Updating per the team website.
Manabe is Board of Directors/Owner
Takeshita is Executive Advisor with President of the Board of Directors

I read that he has an Australian partner following the launch of Victorina's "bar" months ago
Well Manabe is back as HeadCoach. I was Mentioning him awhile back about him bringing at least london bronze medal and 2010 World Championships bronze. I guess they couldn’t find a better replacement compared to him. 😆
I think other coaches would certainly be reluctant after seeing how Nakada - the legendary national team setter, once the most sought after domestic coach - struggled during her reign.
Manabe is a safe choice but i highly doubt if he could pull a magical turn for the team at WCH next year. Probably looking forward to Paris 2024 and we'll see. I sincerely hope Manabe will help the Team to at least pass the qualification clear and clear (don't repeat 2012 or 2016 incidents) then go all the way to quaterfinal.

Juicyyyy, please keep us posted .
Kind of scared to ask this but do we not like Manabe as NT head coach here?

In this case, it may be more of the players versus the coach. I am a fan of Manabe, and how he took Japan to places where they had not gone in a while. When they let him go after 2016, it was time, that group was at its end and so was Manabe's time.
Nakata started well, but finished poorly. Too many players went through the dog house with her, and let alone players who went overseas did not come back into the national team after returning.
