Is it too late to bring back Miyashita? Since these hitters refused to play defense let your setter do it. 😂

for this tournament , yes

Miyashita should not think about retirement until she's in her mid 30s.
-
Kurogo was nauseating to watch these past 2 days. She just gave up while Koga and Momii continued to grind. Ishikawa didn't even do much today so it was Kurogo's turn to step it up but again she never did.
-
the Kurogo had a decent 2018, was it? Other than that none of this squad besides Kobata had any real playing time or impact this cycle, did they?
Kurogo still carried Japan's offensive game in VNL 2019 i belived. IIRC, she was the only one who could kill a ball back then, and from zon 4, obviously.
Or, JVA invested on the wrong head coach maybe? I don't recall any achievements under Nakada, no hate but just she didn't make any impact at all
She got the gold medal at Asia championship 2017
. The only year her game made sense btw. Or might be she thought that was enough achievement for this circle
.This is the prize for not including Miyashita. #YesImStillNotOver
Not entirely Nakada's fall tbh. From Ryu Takamiya back in 2019:
QuoteDisplay MoreAbout Miyashita,
- During the yesterday's match, the commentator said Miyashita went back home by her own from 1st traning camp last season.
- This is because she didn't prepare mentally to play for NT.
- According to local magazine, she also couldn't decide whether she join the NT or not this season , but Nakada persuaded her to join the team then she joined.
I read some of her interviews and it seems she lacks confidence in herself and tends to underestimate herself, even after she experienced 2016 Olympics as a main setter.
Even though many coaches & ex-players saying Miyashita is the talented and the only setter who could bring big achievement for Japanese team, she doesn't trust these words and saying ''There are many setters in Japan who are better than myself. I still don't get why I got invitation to NT.''

From a fan standpoint, no one is against her. It's up to the coaches to actually drag her back.

bring her back for the next cycle and yank shinnabe out of retirement. and semd korogo back to OH. maybe Ishii can learn to play Opp since her receiving is tragic.

If Aihara is the next NT coach that's a big no
-
where is Iwasaka? I thought she was the captain lmfao japan changed so many players i cannot keep up

and why is that?

Why does everyone pick on Yuki
Her receiving isn't tragic but she's done. Next cycle better have some players you've never heard of at this point. Plus YOLO -
-
Also Ishii should retire

Iwasaka already retired. She retired after the V.league season ended.

Girl stop bringing up all the worst players. Kurogo is bad enough as it is
-
Bring back Nabeya as well. And can they find libero that’s willing to belly dive
-
If Aihara is the next NT coach that's a big no
which part? there was a lot in there

kmfao i am not bringing her back. Her name just appear on the top of my head. I always thought she is a useless captain.
-
which part? there was a lot in there
about bringing Miyashita back
about yanking Shinnabe out of retirement
about moving Ishii to Opp (nvermind this one)
-
Anyway tbh Kurogo needs a breather. But I just don't see why they even let Okumura tag along she did nothing for this team. Another OH would have been better. Too late but just so many regrets
