Ekaterina Antropova, the 202 cm OPP who will play for Scandicci this upcoming season, might be the most promising Russian player excluding Arina, however it seems she isnt that intrigued by the notion of representing Russia NT in the future but might as well opt for Italy NT instead based on what I have read.
I read a comment on Facebook made by Vallefoglia team menager that the rumor is she might actually have decided to play for Russia. But it's just a rumor so take it for what is. And as far as playing as OH, def not going to happen this year, no one in Scandicci can cover her in reception so I don't really see it happen, she will just be backup opposite.

It wasn't the team talking about her, it was just the manager on a personal level. I just said who made the comment because he probably has more inside info through her menagement/people who worked with her.

AFAIK, she wanna play in the Italian league, but if she plays for the Russian NT, she'll miss the contract because they want her as a local player. That's why she hasn't decided yet. And I totally agree, in Russia, she would have been another Malygina.

Holy fcking cow we won against China!! And we are still in contention.
Hopefully this brings momentum with our game with USA and Turkey. We have to beat atleast one of them to secure our place.
Fingers and toes cross that Italy beat China 3:0 or 3:1 in their next game.

It was so exciting to hear Arina will play for Fenerbahce. Let's hope Terzic can get the best out of her, just like what he did to Bosko. We can't deny he also takes part on Bosko development to be the greatest Opp we have now. But, ngl, I prefer her to move to Vakif tho. Imagine how much Gui will take care of her. In 1 to 2 year, she'll be ready for everything.

Victories like this one against teams like China have become few and far in between so hope you don't mind if I'll indulge in it because who knows when we'll get to enjoy something like this again?
Russia's block was the biggest factor in their sensational win yesterday. It practically brought them back to life in what looked like a hopeless situation in 4th set. Towards the end of fifth set, their blocks are softening China's offense and that allowed them to counter-attack. Kudos to Fetisova for that! It's also admirable to see Voronkova being reliable in almost ALL aspects of the game. Goncharova and Malova played fantastic as well. Finally, after a nervous start in the tournament, Arina is finding her confidence. Scoring 28 points is a huge feat for a 17 year old newbie in NT! 
Hope this victory will give them a huge morale boost in their next games. Davai Rossiya!
