    MB: Suvorova (1.91), Zhabrova (1.88), Seergeva (1.97)

    OH: ¿Arina? (1.90), Demidova (1.88), Zamanskaia (1.82), Kapralova (1.84), Popova (1.85, also Opp)

Opp: Shvydkaya (2.00, also MB), Protopopova (1.96), Isypova (1.92)

    L: Khabibrakhmanova (1.74), Dumrauf (1.72)

There's one more girl training, but I can't recognize her.

About Arina, two days ago there was a friendly match against Odintsovo and she was there with her mom, also, she hasn't presented in Fenerbahce yet, so she's likely to join this team. BTW, I think she wants to play (it's her choice).

Fun fact: In Russia, the women junior teams train more weeks than the men junior teams. For example, the U19 men team trained like 2-3 weeks before the WCH take place, meanwhile, the U20 women team trained for more than 1 month. Also, this U18 team has been training since more than 1 month ago, in the meantime, the U21 men team just started its training camp some days ago, and their respective WCh starts on the same week. :read:

  • WHAAAAAAAT this is Arina's fourth competition this summer :white::white: Also, I guess Akimova is missing from the roster..

    PS. GAMOVA

  • Also, I guess Akimova is missing from the roster..

Nope. Akimova is a U20 player. She played the U20 WCh two months ago.

Man, I love seeing former players/legends go back to their team. Their mere presence must be inspiring! Is she part of the coaching staff? I think, of the Russian legends, it's Sokolova that has the goods to be a great coach. She seems to be a player that really know the game, in and out the court.

Hoping for this continuous shift for Russian women's volleyball. I hope the coach doesn't waste this generation of players.

  • This generation has so many tall players. With Gamova with the team, hopefully she can share her skills and improve the talent of the Opposite players, Shyvdkaya and Protopopova. Not to mention Seergeva who is a middle player. Russia is lacking in Opposite players.

Suvorova (MB) is someone to look out for. She played already with U19 generation during the World Championship, and showed a lot of potential, even played better than Kochurina and the other middle.

With Federovsteva, I think this team is guaranteed with a medal. Maybe Arina can join but play only during the medal matches.

  • Fedorovtseva is tireless! :white:I don't think she needs this tournament but if she really wants to play, I wish her all the best. Just hope she doesn't injure herself. :flower:

  • Is she part of the coaching staff?

Due to the pregnancy/motherhood, she is currently just an adviser for the girls. But years ago, she had a manager/adviser role (2017) and an assistant role (2018). She even went to the tournaments, but since 2019 she doesn't.

  • Maybe she will just play during the Gold Medal match. I wonder when was the last time Russia won in this category? During the time of Gamova?

The last time was 1993. I think it was Godina-Sokolova-Safronova generation.

  • Did Gamova win when she played for the Youth/Junion team?

She lost the final against Brazil in U18 but won twice in U20.

  • It seems that Arina won't go to Fenerbahce in the end because the Russian Federation won't give the transfer. At least, this is what Gian Luca Pasini, journalist of La Gazzetta Dello Sport, writes in Italy in his blog. He is the most informed for everything regarding volleyball in our country. He states (I'm translating from Italian) that "it seems that the Russian Federation doesn't want to release the international transfer to the Turkish team." Maybe Russian fans know something more precise about that.

Wow, that would be a big blow for FB, seeing lazareva's disappointing performance this summer, they really need a power spiker like arina and I'm not sure if ana Cristina is ready for it yet

  • This is going to be huge blow for Fenerbahce, I don’t think so that they can do anything without Arina.

  • Why won't Russian Federation let Fedorovtseva go? Hasn't she already signed a contract with Fener?

  • If they don't let Arina go, I can see Fenerbahçe fans going absolutely mad. They are already crazy about Arina. They would hunt down everybody involved to this problem lol

And when did Russian cares about anyone opinion :cheesy:

But this is sad story I’m not happy about this at all.

This is absolute bullsh*t. Arina will join Fenerbahce right after the U18 WC

  • There is a storm forming on fenerbahce ig about Arina's transfer to Turkey. Still do not know if the federation can even prevent Arina from going, otherwise it will be a big legal battle coming. Hopefully it is just a rumor, a rumor often caused big troubles.

  • I don't remember if it was in rai or in eurovollley tv but I heard one commentor saying arina fedorotseva the young star that gonna play for fb if their NT if their federation allows it

It makes me react weird as I tough the contract was a deal and they had permission

But now I see why they said that
