Alekno after OG was asked why did Ngapeth play such differently in Tokyo than in Kazan, and he said that in a club he plays for cash, while in NT he plays for his friends and a country. So after all, maybe it's good to sign brother-cheerleader if Modena wants Ngapeth to play his best.

yeah it’s a package deal. Either Both ngapeth brothers Or none :-). I guess alekno feels bitter about ngapeth and rightly so - he lacked professionalism during his kazan stint. Having said that, how the hell did alekno think it would work, using ngapeth as a defensive outside hitter, covering the libero in serve receive etc... a total non sense. For me his transfer was poorly thought out, really.

What could potentially be the reason? I thought he's enjoying his stay at Polska, didn't him and his brother both play on PlusLiga. He also brought his fam last season I believe

The most embarassing part is that Skra gave him a year ago a contract, rebuild him physically for half of a season after his shoulder injury, he played half of regular season quite well, but then he got injured in the playoffs, then he said that he has to pay his debt to the club and decided to stay - and then we have this awkward af situation. I hope there's some serious reason behind this nonsense.

Maybe he got tired of not winning?
Comparatively speaking,Christenson and Russell are more successful than Sander in club volleyball. The olympics was probably the last straw for him.

Top clubs (especially italian) probably won't sign Sander/Russell anymore with how injury-prone they are
and I guess their families won't want to live in Russia or Poland either.
With the NT, safe to say they won't win anything big in the near future so yeah it would be sensible to switch to beach.
But agreed, UNPROFESSIONAL!
