• Im watching it too. From Brazil, I do think the highlight is that Wallace is still shaky. This is a match where he could get more rhythm.

For Canada, I consider only Bann and TJ Sander (once he is healthy) are the only ones who are locked as starters.

The thing with Wallace seems to be his physique. I'm under the impression that he lost some of his agility and jumping height. Considering his age, that's understandable, but too bad.

As for Canada, is Sanders ever coming back? It's been a while and it seems like he's never recovered from his back injury, which is unfortunate as I really like him. I wouldn't be surprised if Walsh and Blankenau are the ones going to Tokyo.

I always thought Perrin is the their best OH and his position is locked at important tournaments.

  • I know it's gonna come with more experience over time, but Cachopa needs to work super hard with his middles connection. Even with Isac it's shaky sometimes and they play together for ages.

  • do you have a link? Preferably on twitch, any working link will be appreciated though. Neither Cubanspike nor 7tve are streaming Poland vs Slovenia.

    CubanSpike is showing it: here

I like him and think he has potential, but I never understood why he has always been treated as a “phenomenon” and the natural sucessor of Bruno ever since he started playing for Brazilian Juniors NT. I think he is good, but I don’t see him so much better than some others, like Carisio, who is even taller than him.

  • With all the due respect to Canada, I think Brazil collapsed by mistakes done by themselves than Canadian merits.

Maybe it is time to sub Mauricio, otherwise this match would unnecessarily reach a tie break.

He's just okay. I don't understand how he's regarded so highly too, but I'm just a spectator -- perhaps coaches and people in higher positions see something in him that we don't? Anyway, hopefully Carísio and others from the youth teams can step it up. Once Bruno retires, we're gonna need it.

  • Truly incredible how a single player is able to drag down a team's performance and "spirit" like Borges was doing for Brazil. He went out and things instantly got back on track.
