So i just found out there's a 202 cm player from GSS. What a waste.
Oh nvm she's chinese lmao

If they hold an all-stars event this season they should make all the foreigners compete against the current NT squad like they did for the men's division 2 seasons ago. That would be something.
Also I think it's cute that Acosta loves her PFU teammates so much she comments on their photos all the time.

Sorry for not relating, but any one know who is the distributor of V. League outside Japanese? I heard that DAZN have the broadcast right in Japanese only. Many thanks

I've only been following since Rio and the only one I can think of is Pornpun on Toyota last year. She ended up hardly playing

DAZN's contract ended. As far as I know there is no distributor outside Japan. It's VTV or nothing
I think V.League is working on something with Thailand and Philippines

I read somewhere that Japan and Thailand have good connections, so that doesn't seem unlikely.
This matter about V. League working with the Philippines seems much more realistic though, I think One Sports already has a partnership with the B. League, seeing as they stream almost every game with a Philippine import with them. The V. League could also profit a lot from a deal like that, lots of Filipino fans have gotten interested in both Japanese men's and women's volleyball. Volleyball is already the second most popular sport in the country even though it's been only around a decade since it became mainstream, close to bumping out basketball that's been around since the 70s.
A partnership with both countries could profit both sides (more going to Japan), it could happen, it just depends on whether or not they'd agree to endorse their league in international media.

There was already speculation regarding an alliance in 2016 when popular players in Thailand such as Nagaoka and Miyashita peaked there was massive demand in Thailand but I doubt it's going that route.

TRT SPOR should help them out

The only one I can think of besides her was Yoko Zetterlund in the 90's. But her case is peculiar, since she is half Japanese and had had her formation years there, despite playing for the USA NT.

There's that name again . She commentated a game a couple weeks back and I was trying to find out if she was a former player or not. I really thought "Zetterlund" was a google translation error of a Japanese name (my google translate had it as "Zetterland" and a search on her Japanese name didn't produce results for some reason)

Can't wait for the last weekend before Winter Break, December 4–5. Kurobe v Toyota. Pretty sure one of those two teams will come away with a win

It's a different name, isn't it? I think it sounds Norwegian, or something like that... But I still love those Google Translate mischiefs. I still remember, from back when I wasn't active on the forum, how you used to call the (former?) ace Kurogo as "Love after Dark".

Kurogo as "Love after Dark"
I still like that one

athletes should have this mentality, but skill and technique play a role. Throw in some luck as well.
