Park hye mi also retired
and Ha Yu Jeong being released too.
Here is the preview on youtube.
The other guests with YANG Hyo-Jin are trot singer/actress HAN Young (1.81m) and comedian LEE Eun-Hyung (1.78m).
The good thing about this is it will be available with subtitles on Netflix.

Unlike the previous three players who were released as free status players (i.e. they can join any team right away), No. 15 PARK Hea-Mi [Li] and No. 19 HA Yoo-Jung [MB] have left Korea Expressway as voluntary withdrawal meaning if they change their mind and decide to come back then they would have to rejoin Korea Expressway and not another team. However, after three years they can sign with any other team.

From this video posted on Hyundai E&C Hillstate's youtube channel not too long ago, I noticed two of their younger players were missing. There were comments on dcinside.com alluding to them leaving too but now there is the official confirmation that No. 20 JEON Ha-Ri [OH] and No. 16 KIM Ga-Yeong [OH] has left the team. Both players will be joining Daegu City Hall.

Not an official confirmation but I'm pretty sure this info is accurate. This article mentioned toward the end that No. 13 CHOI Yun-I [OH], No. 17 HYEON Moo-Lin [Li] and trainee player No. 2 JEON Hyeon-Gyeong [MB] have been released from Heungkuk Life Insurance Pink Spiders.
This happens all the time, and while it's true these players aren't that fantastic, and some have been given a few seasons to prove themselves, I think the problem really lies with the player development within v-league clubs itself
For there to be this many young players let go off every year without given more time. Even mid-tier players generally don't grow/improve much over seasons.
And of course, extremely over paid "idol star" players whose output do not match their cost
They dont care about development, they just want result and good press for their parent company.
its funny as i watched their u18 team play the exact same style as their senior team "Vleague style" slow and easy to read play.

I didn't watch U18, but read that they ranked #3 under China and Japan, beating Thailand - as usual.
But considering Thailand players are much more likely to head to overseas leagues and grow as players, while the Korean players will likely never do so
It's possible the next generation of Thailand players will continue improving (granted they have the potential) like their current generation.
It's a pity there's no outstanding U18 players who are good enough to be called up to NT

The 2022 KOVO Cup will be officially called "2022 Suncheon ‧ Dodram Cup Professional Volleyball Tournament" (2022 순천‧도드람컵 프로배구대회). This year KOVO Cup for the women's teams will be held from August 13-20 at Suncheon Palma Gymnasium. Since the tournament will be in August, I doubt the foreign players and the NT members will participate in the KOVO Cup. Foreign players will be unable to play as FIVB would not have started issuing ITCs which the teams need in order to register their foreign players. For the Korean WNT members, they will be participating in the 2022 AVC Cup Women's Tournament, Manila, Philippines from August 21-28.
Kim back to Heungkuk
KYK signed with Pink Spiders
I expected as much, but I'm surprised she turned down overseas offers (if the rumours were true) considering the state of PS team this year
Guess this means she no longer wishes to play overseas and wants to settle down
(Good luck Dasol... don't read any comments once season starts)
On the bright side, the awkward FA situation between her and Heungkuk will be over after this season.
I wonder if she'll move to a different VLeague team (AKA Peppers cause they're the only other team that can afford her atm).
I didn't watch U18, but read that they ranked #3 under China and Japan, beating Thailand - as usual.

So frustrating... the Korean league system needs to change!! We should petition, haha.

What beef does KYK has with dasol or what beef dasol has with kyk?
So, interesting news too a few days ago..

KOVO and Korean Volleyball organization are inviting French coach (Laurent Tillie) and Italian coach (Massimo Barbolini) for a seminar to learn how to improve national capabilities for the league. Taking place on the 23rd and 24th for two days in Seoul.
These two coaches are great choices to learn from but my biggest worry is they hold this event and don't even apply any of their strategies and tactics. I hope the current Korean organization and coaches actually listen to them and make change.
What beef does KYK has with dasol or what beef dasol has with kyk?
Oh don't get me wrong, zero beef
What I meant was that knowing KYK's avid korean fanbase (and toxic korean culture), Dasol will receive a lot of hate and blame as setter of the team
Like she did after she became main setter in 2021
Even LDY who was by far the top setter of the league - and long before all the rumours and issues - she received a crazy ton of hate as the setter on Kim's team. Either for not setting to Kim more or setting to her in 'unfavourable' situations causing her to be blocked.
It's KYKs superstar status in Korea basically lol
She's a great player, great legacy.
But imo its a team sport so its a pity how other players can sometimes be seen or treated by the fans when on the same team as her.
