If Nurper Ozbar was refree here then Plak’s spike would be a legit point for Netherlands lol
-
-
I wish Jasper would get subbed off for Knollema or Marring already, too many mistakes today
-
If there was that Turkish refree then Plak’s spike would be a legit point for Netherlands lol
Urgh, I literally have deja-vu of that point during the Vakif-Fener semifinal....

Where were these Nika serves during first 3 sets?

Happy for DOM!
This team keeps making miracles. First the NORCECA gold medal, now the OGs ticket.
-
Compliments to the girls for actually winning this set with all the disappointment after set 3. Every won set is less ranking points lost, but pleeeeaaaasee win this last one so you can still end on a high

DOM - NL --> A: 63-65, B: 7-8, S: 5-6. It's just the 11 extra errors that made the biggest difference this match (22 vs 33). I guess it was a long NT season because they usually have a lower error rate.
---
All in all, it was an interesting NT season, where we got a higher point total on world ranking than at the start. At the times of the draw we were ranked 12th, and will end in 10th. We won bronze at ECH and got to see new talents like Baijens, van Aalen, Knollema and Marring shine. Also we finally got a coach who seems to really click with the players. Now let everyone go back to their clubs, develop more, and if they can bring a decent level at VNL next year they should still be able to qualify for Paris. The future is looking bright, the future is looking Orange. We will just have to be a bit more patient

Brazil is starting really hot. Spiking winners back to back. Serving away Hayashi. Japan should probably go with Ishikawa if things get to worse.
-
Brazil using more of Diana and Julia B
-
-
This match is giving Julia B confidence
-
-
Julia B is really good at crosscourt spikes and smart plays
-
Julia B first and last point of the set 1. I think... She is really playing good. Just needs to be better at reception
-
KOGA cant carries japan . Maybe should try mayu
-
-
I cannot with JPN ending the set with 3 straight errors then a Julia B spike.
-
KOGA cant carries japan . Maybe should try mayu
she can't even captain it. maybe Mayu's injury is a lot more serious
-
Japan plays beautiful volleyball until reaching 20 pts and completely collapses again, exactly the same pattern as they did yesterday against Turkey. It’s something they have to work with the sports psychologists, they seem to have difficulties to close the set or match against top teams too often.

Leaving aside technical or tactical considerations, the biggest difference that can be seen between teams like the Netherlands, Poland, the Dominican Republic etc. and Italy is in the attitude: the Italian team is dull and you can clearly see that something is broken. ..
Let's see what will happen tonight, because the way they face the match against Poland tonight will make the difference...
Italy is so blasé, without enthusiasm in theur game, without joy and flow. Secondly, Italy doesn`t play with the strongest squad while Poland does. The fact that the match will be held in Poland is of little importance, as the recent final of the men's European Championships in Rome showed. If you are strong and in good shape, even 50,000 opposing fans won't stop you. The problem is that Italy doesn`t have this good form and they play with his team B. The only good match this season for the Italian was the 1/2 against Turkey in Euro and that too only to 20 points in the 4th set. Then everything fell apart.

Hayashi drops in general is a pushing violation galore but its fun dynamic to the game.
