Japan plays beautiful volleyball until reaching 20 pts and completely collapses again, exactly the same pattern as they did yesterday against Turkey. It’s something they have to work with the sports psychologists, they seem to have difficulties to close the set or match against top teams too often.
That is so core to the game, what sets the winners from the losers, literally and figuratively. Japan really needs to work on that

Not so much but the POL vs ITA and USA vs NED games is much more impactful now that DOM, SRB, TUR, FRA, African Teams are already in. If POL and NED (via US 3-0 defeat and Poland 3-2 defeat - unlikely) and BRA is theoretically makes it in via Qualifier, USA and more likely CHN(leading JPN by 20pts) in next via Continental Qualification. Then ITA(leading JPN by 40 pts, then another team. Then there is two spots. Its a battle between JPN (Japan leading NED in ~30pts), NED(leading CAN by ~20 pts) and CAN(leading GER by ~30++). I think GER has a minor chance but almost explicitly impossible
