on a more serious note, barely eking out a win against a team that lacks any weapons is a bad sign for the rest of the tournament. they fought back valiantly but there was still no visible cohesion in the team.

The Netherlands were awful in big moments in all 3 sets they lost. Couldn’t do anything right. Credit to them for pushing Turkey so hard but this absolutely should have been a win. They outplayed Turkey most of the match.

NED was given a chance fora suprise victory over the Turkey and they wasted it. Must be hard to be a NED fan right now. I can imagine their hopes were raised only for it to get crushed. This kind of loss are always emotionally-draining.

That carry by Karakurt not being called and the replay of Jolien's backrow touch really fucked our momentum over. But still it's more than I expected! Florien was surprisingly good, but in the end nerves got to them.

What an ugly way of loosing, I was having hopes for the Dutchies even until 10-10 in the tie-break, but with those ruthlessly thoughtless errors
They had amazing first and second set, and even the third set had been going with great flows, the chances were blown and it was way too late when just realized it.
I'm sorry for the girls, but not Koslowski, it could have been a 3-0 win, dude, against one of the dominant teams...

Hande woke up since set 3 helped A LOT for Turkey, all OHs were a big mess before that.
Felix’s “strategy” on Opp is still what I can’t bear. He could have tried Buijs or even Marring as Opp, if he really doesn’t like try the idea of receiving Opp. Keeping Plak on court, even in this team, is pure STUPID.

I think that is not possible BUT the referee seemingly used the video replay as reference which is shady (though I think a similar circumstance happened in during FRA vs RUS Finals in 2021).
Video replay showed that Knollema touched the ball. And she didn't say anything. Is it possible that she could NOT sense it? Otherwise it is a shame for her to not accept.

What a performance for her. I also think Ebrar did good in the tiebreak and Vargas did great when it mattered. Middles and Outsides I'm not feeling, Tuğba and Yasemin would be the vibes I personally need here, block defense and back row defense sucked.Team NED was great otoh today besides the mental block to close out the match, Baijens and Daalderop were rock solid, I also enjoyed Knollema, Jasper, Buijs, Dambrink, Lohuis (aka everyone, even Plak) and the libero from time to time today. Setting like in team TUR wasn't there for me. This is a fresh appearance of a young team so overall great performance, my only concern is that they have the Koslowski syndrome. I don't know what he says off court but his teams always give off a sense of insecurity to me, like they never believe they can actually get over the finish line...
