Popovic is IN.
But i am talking about top 8 teams.
Bottom 4 did not make any changes, France, Netherlands, Japan and Kenya.
ah yes, just saw the roster for the upcoming match. Didn’t know it when I asked
And yes *crying in orange* hahah

Speaking of 13th players, which setters will USA use today?
volleyballworld list Hancock and Poulter as setters.
Anyone any update on Carlini?
rude awakening for turkey; without good serve and reception, there's simply nothing you can do.
italy look good but they haven't been tested yet, i'm not convinced yet that they'll clutch it out in critical moments.

Tested on what? you say that as if facing turkey is like going against france or kenya

They should be tested against Slovenia's men's team to see if they are 100% worthy of praise
You think turkey could win in quarter then
we will see buddy.

cryying
The true pool of death is Pool A, but C is a decent pool. Pool B seems to be the one that should be worried when they start facing quality teams tbh.

On a good day turkey is definitely stronger than serbia, i just hope that day comes.

i mean, france and kenya could definitely give turkey we saw today a run for their money. brazil, serbia, china and even usa all seem far better prepared than turkey rn.
I just woke up and didn't watch the match, but wow, that scoreline is crazy. I thought any 3-1 win today would do with the point ratio advantage Brazil had over Italy, but now I'm thinking it's safest to aim for 3-0.
NL tested Italy's reception with strong serves, DR tested them with power volleyball and to stay focused when opponent gets messy, and Turkiye tested Italy for playing vs. a team with dominant opposite. I'd say they passed two of those three tests quite well, only service pressure might expose their weaknesses. This doesn't mean that Italy is invincible going forward but I do think they got three completely different opponents/styles of volleyball that could prepare them well for next round(s) (in that regard also Turkiye got to "practice" now with those different styles, and let's hope for them that they can use their pool experience to prepare for whoever they will face in QF!)
Natinha is IN.
At the moment only Rozansky and Yushan did not seen match roster.
Lorenne has a calf injury apparently (not serious).
A few days ago, Natinha said she would get a medal if we medalled, so I'm kind of wondering if they weren't planning on doing this from the start and are just using whatever excuse to get Natinha in the roster. I don't mind it tbh, everyone's doing it, why can't we lol
Poulter and Karch will not understand that it doesn’t matter how fast the sets are, as long as they’re predictable they won’t score
And Plummer can’t score per usual
Can they chill the F out with the sets on the left wing.. Skinner has been struggling to hit the ball both from Poulter and Micha
Can we pleaseeee get Kelsey instead of Plummer
USA is playing without the left wing so far
Gicquel couldn't score any ball
I really really need someone to post Plummer’s numbers.. why is she on court? Like what is the reason?
