I don't know if it's the case now, but I've seen teams pass with their backrow OH on the left side and the front row OH between them and libero. Perhaps they did this?
I know what you mean but no Turkey doesn’t do that.
Also when teams do when you said, their OPP usually runs at the net instead of round the back.

China lost this match two and a half year's ago when Cai was appointed head coach. But don't blame him entirely. The Chinese Volleyball Association (CVA) couldn't see, or didn't want to see how inept he was at the highest levels of competition. His choice of setters and other positions doesn't make sense and worst of all he became the laughing stock of the whole world for selecting Wang Yunlu and sticking by her till the last stages of the VNL.
Well done, Turkey ! It'll be hard to stop you from a podium finish

The refs also missed some rotation errors on the turkish side.
On rotation 1, Vargas has to stand on the left of OH1 before running around. Instead multiple times she was standing in between OH1 and OH2. Happened a lot of times, not just this match

Cansu at position 1 behind Orge. Karakurt is the OH1.
Literally she has been doing this.

Awful match won by the team with more guts. Vargas comes from another planet, I wonder what she could actually do with a real team around her.

In China, things work differently than in other places. First of all, you must be obedient to the party. Knowing about volleyball is an option.

Oh I didn't realise that but assuming that Cansu was in position 1, Vargas should be in 4 and Karakurt in 3 so Vargas should be closer to the side than Karakurt...

Actually Cansu was front row in those rotations as fas as I remember.. I was thinking the same but my understanding of rotations outside of simple pattern is limited so I didn’t think of it much

Why are you so agressive? It's a volleyball forum and someone made an interessing argument about rules. No one is attacking Turkey nor you and you are calling people idiots etc. The whole situation with rotation is quite interesting so now I'm rewatching the game and clearly with the 2 first times when Vargas is in position 4 it's Karakurt who is standing closer to the line than her (she is standing on her right side).

Imo losing that third set coming back from behind was a big mental shift in the game.
