2024 Paris Olympic Games

  • looks like she will soon retire from volleyball at all, she said she will fulfill her contract (1 year?) and see

  • She literally said that she retires lol

I quickly made edit, but you was faster :drink:

It a little sad, Joanna is a great setter and for sure she gave a lot of heart for this nt, but she not fit to this system. She is great in Conegliano, but polish team is different

  • I really hoped she will play at least next year´s WCH but Polish game really probably looks better with Wenerska

  • She said a couple months ago she is not watching volleyball matches, because she’s burn out and it’s too much of vollleyball in her life.

she will see if the burn out will continue or she will want experience something new in life

I am glad she’s leaving. She wants to live outside of volleyball. She has been 14 years with NT. It’s sad, but well deserved for her.

unfortunatly but I agree. Its a little bit painful that we have one of the best setter, but just not fit to other players. Thats sad and brutal

Yeah, I wish she would continue - it's totally understandable from some broader perspective that she won't - I don't think we'll be that much weakened tbh - it's fine that Wołosz finally got a chance to play on decent team, under great coach, actually win something and be somewhere with national team, it was a long overdue. Thanks for everything

Painful loss, but we've been playing above expectations for so long that it couldn't last forever - life isn't as good, plain and simple, lol, sometimes you have to take a step back. Sad that it happened at the Olympics, we could've lost to USA and probably would've regardless, but it was just a bad performance - but 3 years ago everyone would've taken this Olympic cycle without even arguing if offered, so there's no point in over-analyzing this.

Congrats to Americans, it seems Kiraly found his rotation to realistically compete for a medal, I'd have them above Turkey in medal phase games for now.

Imoco life without Robin as her roomie will be boring, so completely understandable! 8o

No seriously, I hope she can find joy in playing during club season and if not, take care of her happiness and do something else. After all those years at the top she deserves it :super:

  • Gotta give credit where credit’s due.. Plummer’s serving run and those 2 aces were really important in USA’s comeback in the third. She also did a fine job receiving. I’m not sold on her attack.. she had some good points, but got blocked a lot.. When the set is off the net she either hits it as hard as she can and gets blocked, or doesn’t even swing and just gets the ball over with both of her hands.. likee you can roll the ball? Or some placement shot sometimes maybe? Brazilian block is not that big, so let’s hope she’ll be better

  • It must be hard for girls cause they played amazing WCH, 2 great VNLs, beat USA and Italy in OQT and on OG when it mattered most they couldn’t perform their best. Stysiak was terrible and she carried this team 2 years.

  • No mental and fighting spirit. I was almost sure final result after mid first set. Poland is able to be on high level when they strongly enter match and win first set especially with teams like USA. Congrats to USA !

PLummer gets set out of system sets most of the time and she's always matched up against the strongest block. That's why She starts well and after some time she starts struggling.

Skinner is doing overall well but she gets mostly fast sets vs the short block of the setter.

This system is not great but somehow is working, so why do you want to change It?

  • I cant wait for another QF! Egonu vs Boskovic is always enjoying to watch:cheesy:

I told you, bro: Karch has no idea how to make a proper use of Plummer's (and Robinson's) offensive skills. It is what it is. Hopefully USA will reach another final, but it's really hard.
